The women's kimono differs from the men's in the cut of the sleeves. In women, the sleeves serve as a kind of pockets. In women, it is girded with a wide belt, which is tied with a large bow on the back.

From cultural traditions, the most famous are the tea ceremony, the art of ornamental gardens, and ikebana. Japan is an extraordinary country. Slide 9.

- In terms of population - 8th place in the world, after China, India, USA, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, Russia.
– The average population density is 336 people per sq. km. km, is located extremely unevenly in river valleys and on coastal plains.
- The state is one-national (Japanese predominate - 99%).
– Highly urbanized population, 76% live in cities (12 of them are millionaire cities)
- Moved from 2 types of reproduction to the first. The decrease in natural growth is explained by the desire to improve the standard of living.
- A nation of healthy people - low infant mortality, the highest level of life expectancy (men - 76 years, women - 82 years).
The Japanese language is complex and does not belong to any language family.
- A very religious nation, they profess Buddhism, Shintoism.
- A country of high culture, ancient traditions, solid literacy.

Geography teacher: Japan is a country of contrasts. Only here, on this rugged piece of land isolated from the whole world, opposites perfectly complement each other. Ultra-modernity coexists with traditions, forming an unusual unity from all points of view. Big cities are the best example of this. In the skyscrapers that reach the clouds, surrounded by precise, functional devices of the highest quality, people work who are still faithful to ancient traditions. Their understanding of honor, hierarchy of values or idea of aesthetics is very different from the standards accepted in the West. Therefore, the Japanese, although so modern, seem to be not from our time.
If you look closely at their lives, your head is spinning. It is not easy to understand not only Japanese customs, but also history. According to legend, it covers those times when the gods ruled the earth, and among them - the Shinto goddess Amaterasu, the mother of all Japanese. The emperor himself must be her direct descendant, which was the official ruling of the court until 1946. Subsequent eras brought significant cultural changes. Confucianism, Shintoism, Buddhism formed the state and the way of thinking of its citizens. Isn't it amazing that only in this country the contemplation of cherry blossoms in spring has risen to the rank of a national holiday?
Whatever the Japanese touch, they do it with passion. Brewing tea has become a spiritual exercise, composing flower arrangements an art form, wrestling a way of self-improvement, and eating a refined, highly aesthetic ceremony. Such a perception of life causes envy and at the same time surprise. With the same diligence, the modern inhabitants of the Land of the Rising Sun create sophisticated technical equipment, which is famous throughout the world for its highest quality and extraordinary innovation. From this point of view, the Japanese left all other nations far behind. At the same time, they carefully guard their secrets and do not allow many of these miracles of technology to be taken out of the country. However, what is most striking about Japan is the beauty hidden in her natural prostate. It did not come from nowhere - more than a thousand years of hard work on the self-consciousness of the inhabitants brought rich fruits. (1, p.3)

Acquaintance with the culture of the Japanese(work in groups).

Students are divided into groups of 4 in advance. Each student performs a well-defined task, according to which the students of the group and the teacher evaluate it (selection of materials on the topic, preparation of a speech, preparation of materials for a collage and compilation of a syncwine).
