How to choose the optimal computer configuration. How to choose the optimal configuration for your computer? Related software. How to choose programs

In addition to the fact that the computer stores themselves are divorced immeasurably, besides, in the stores themselves, the choice of both ready-made computers and individual components for them is simply incredible. To an uninitiated user, it will not be clear what is responsible for what and what to choose. Often, people are guided by prices, by the number of gigabytes, gigahertz, cores, or simply listen to what sales managers tell them.
I, in turn, in this field, as they say, "ate the dog" and I know not only what goes with what, but also about more serious and important details, without having knowledge of which, you can make gross mistakes. In this post, I will briefly try to talk about some of the details of choosing system components and give 3 examples of gaming computer configurations that you can order and assemble, both on your own and in a store.
The first thing to consider when choosing a gaming computer is that you should never buy them ready-made! Those people who are engaged in the selection of components do not at all want to select the appropriate components for a gaming computer, moreover, the finished PCs themselves, as a rule, are much more expensive than the computer you have chosen yourself, or rather its components, for subsequent assembly, and even taking into account that some stores take money for assembly, anyway, the kit you choose will be more powerful and cheaper than ready-made analogues. Therefore, we forget about ready-made solutions and proceed to the choice of components.
When choosing components for a gaming PC, you need to consider the following factors:
1) And most importantly! The performance of a computer and its individual components cannot be measured by comparison with other models based on the amount of memory in gigabytes, or based on frequencies, number of cores, etc. Real performance is measured in terms of specific programs, in real tests that are conducted on popular, reputable publications dedicated to computers and components, you can easily find information on individual components by typing a query into Google, such as "Intel i5-4590k Review", or for example "GTX980Ti review". In order to verify the veracity of the information, go to 3-4 different reviews at once and check the information, if it converges approximately everywhere, then everything is correct.
2) Intel processors, almost always, turn out to be more powerful than AMD processors in games, and it doesn’t matter at all that the same intel i3 has only 2 physical cores, and the same AMD FX-8300 has as many as 8, and even for a large frequency. But the bottom line is that intel processors have a strikingly large performance per core and this performance gives them an advantage over AMD processors in games, because games are rather reluctant to optimize for multi-threading (multi-core). Therefore, when choosing a processor, you need to focus on real tests in real games, and not on synthetic tests, such as SuperPi. The most optimal processor for games is almost any intel i5 with a frequency above 3.2 GHz, and if you need more performance, then pay attention to processors with the letter "K" at the end, such processors can overclock, which adds to performance and sometimes very much ! Also, it is worth keeping a balance between the processor and the video card, it is completely useless to put intel i5 in combination with, say, the GTX750Ti, but it will also be too illogical to put i3 and GTX980Ti, it will not be enough. It should be remembered that the processor should not cost more than the video card!
3) A video card is the main component of a gaming computer, on the basis of this component you need to build a gaming computer and the power of a video card is not measured in gigabytes, or simply in megahertz, in fact, there is no power measurement in principle. There are separate indicators, such as - the amount of memory, which is not so important if you have more than 3 gigabytes on a video card from 15000r, or from 2 gigabytes on cheaper cards, or the frequency of the GPU, which may vary between different models, the same product (one and the same chip model, say GTX970, can be produced by dozens of companies and each video card will be different), etc. Also, it is worth considering that there are reference and non-reference designs, what does this mean? The reference design is the standard design provided by the manufacturer for this video card model, the reference design video cards heat up and make more noise, so their purchase is not recommended. Video cards of non-reference design heat up less and make less noise, as they have the best system cooling, with several large and quiet fans, and also sometimes have a different component base, which allows them to be more efficiently overclocked, so I recommend purchasing video cards only of non-reference design.
4) The amount and frequency of RAM - in fact, the amount of RAM for games, only 8 gigabytes is enough, more is not needed in fact, and the frequencies do not play a special role, therefore the best choice, these are 2 memory sticks of 4 gigabytes each with a frequency of 1600 MHz, preferably Samsung Original, or HYNIX Original. Sticks without the word "Original" are counterfeits on these chips and are of inferior quality.

5) Hard drive and SSD - for most games you only need an acceptable hard drive, for example Western Digital Black and there will be no positive reaction from installing an SSD in games, but installing the same SSD allows the system itself to work much faster and speeds up the loading of games itself .
6) Motherboards - the biggest misconception is that expensive, cool motherboards give an increase in performance. This, alas, is not so! The motherboard is the connecting link between the processor, memory, video card and other components of the system, in fact, the motherboard is the wires between the components of the system. But also, it is worth considering that motherboards may have functions that are important to you and you should choose a motherboard based on your needs. When choosing a motherboard, in addition to the obvious things, such as choosing a socket (socket for a processor) and checking compatibility with the selected processor, you need to look at - the number of connectors you need - SATA for hard drives and drives, USB 2.0 and 3.0, etc. look at the presence of such functions as SLI, Crossfire, which allow you to install several video cards at the same time, but if you don’t need such a function now, then it’s better to refuse to buy such motherboards, you overpay huge sums for these functions. The best option is a motherboard costing 4-5 thousand rubles, ATX form factor with an 8pin processor power connector and 4 memory module connectors, as well as 5-6 connectors for connecting sound devices.
7) Power supplies - The biggest misconception about power supplies is that more watts is better. Nothing like this! There will be no difference between a 65 and 1500 watt PSU for your system, if it is built on one processor and one video card. The power supply must be selected based on the consumption of the system. The most powerful video card cannot consume more than 350 watts, the processor, no more than 250 (rare specimens, overclocked, without overclocking, powerful CPUs eat about 80-100 watts), everything else consumes about 70 watts. Therefore, for systems around 30000r, 500-550 "watts" is enough, for powerful PCs, with one video card, "for overclocking", 650 watts, and for the rest, it depends on the number of video cards, but the rule is simple - +1 video card = +300 watts.
8) Do not forget about cooling systems, if the processor is overclocked, then you need to choose a processor "cooler" based on tests, the most optimal option, for example Coolermaster S200. If the processor is not chasing, then you can choose a simpler cooler, up to 500 rubles, according to reviews on the same Yandex market.

This is how components are selected somehow, and now I will give 3 examples of decent assemblies with a certain price category, these assemblies are intended only for games and do not meet certain requirements, but this does not mean that they cannot, say, be engaged in work, or rendering / audio processing. Also keep in mind that theoretically it is possible to select even more optimal components, but for this you need to start from stores and the presence of certain components in them, these components are selected in one store that delivers goods throughout Russia and has its own representative offices in many cities. (prices are taken from one popular store, its name cannot be indicated according to the rules of chips).

And so here are 3 configurations from me:
The configurations themselves with links to the store:
30.000Р:
Processor (CPU) - AMD Athlon X4 860K Black Edition, OEM 4170r
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master S200

Total - 30300r
This configuration has a price within 30000r and is designed to replace game consoles, it can play all modern and planned games at settings close to high. If you have money, then you should replace the motherboard with an AM3 + with an AMD970 chipset, for example from MSI and replace the processor with an AMD FX-8300, it will cost about 3-3.5 thousand rubles, but it will be worth it.

This system unit is at the forefront of technology. The motherboard with SLI support, overclockable processor, power supply and case are designed to install two video cards, and the existing video card is pre-top and gives consistently high FPS in all games. This configuration is intended for a narrow circle of people who crave high FPS and juicy pictures.

Of course, not everything is matched perfectly, but it is possible to select ideally only for a specific person and his tasks.

That's all, I hope you enjoyed reading this ton of text and it will be useful to you. And remember - in no case, do not buy ready-made computers, they cost you more and work much worse. AT modern world, there are shops in which you will be collected and helped in the selection of components for the system!

ForewordIn today's article, we present you with seven configurations of home computers costing from 8,500 to 70,000 rubles - configurations, in our opinion, are more or less optimal, balanced and reasonable in their price category and for their tasks (which will, of course, be indicated). We can say that today's article is a summary of our experience with various computers and components.

At the same time, we will try to give detailed comments on all the components we have chosen, but, of course, in a short form: if you want to know more about what we were guided by, you will find at the end of the links to articles on issues that traditionally cause the most controversy.

I would like to immediately draw the attention of picky readers: the article is called “Choosing home computer”, and therefore it will focus on typical - that is, demanded by the broad masses of the people - home computers. About those that are at home for more than 90% of users. We do not consider specific configurations tailored for specific "heavy" software, except for computer games. In addition, since the article as a whole is designed for not very experienced users, it will not contain configurations for overclocking, for water cooling, and the like.

Of course, none of the above configurations is the "ultimate truth" - with the number of components that are currently on sale, it would be very strange if each of the components were not represented by at least a dozen options close in price and characteristics. So, depending on personal preferences and the available amount, you can vary the choice of case, motherboard, processor and any other components in one direction or another. The basic guidelines - in order, for example, not to take a Core i7 processor with a GeForce GTS 250 video card for a gaming computer - you will get by reading the explanations for each of the configurations.

For all configurations except the last one, in addition to the table with approximate prices (in effect on the day the article was finalized) and links to the price list, there will also be a link to the system block configurator, from which you can order a computer along with the assembly - of course, this service paid, and the computer in the configurator will be somewhat more expensive (by about 5%) than the components separately. But you do not have to bother with assembly, and you will receive a two-year warranty on the entire system unit, including components that have their own warranty of 6-12 months. The term for assembling a computer is 3-5 days - more precisely, the store manager who places an order for assembly will tell you. Please note that the operating system is not included in the configuration, but you can add it yourself - we recommend Windows 7 Home Premium, and if possible (especially on computers with more than 2 GB of memory) the 64-bit version.

Unfortunately, New Year's Eve weeks are a very busy time, so that lots of components are often sold out on the same day they arrive at the warehouse. Therefore, you may encounter a situation where individual items are marked as missing in the configurator - they can be replaced with similar ones, since there are generally few unique components. You can ask about compatibility and replacement options on our forum or from consultants in stores.

Please note that the system block configurator does not contain all commercially available components, but only those approved by the assembly department. Individual parts may not receive such approval for various reasons - due to a large percentage of rejects, low assembly manufacturability (for example, coolers with complex fasteners), various common compatibility problems, and so on. Lack of approval, respectively, does not mean that you will not be able to assemble a computer from these parts yourself. In addition, there are no parts in the configurator that are not currently in the central warehouse - although they may be available in retail stores F-Center.

Well, before going directly to computers, we will give them a brief description - to make it easier for you to navigate the article:

Configuration #1 is the cheapest you can get right now. The computer is usable as a typewriter, but even FullHD movies can already be a problem.
Configuration #2 is the cheapest (but not at the expense of quality) configuration, for which everything is available except for 3D games.
Configuration No. 3 is an inexpensive gaming computer for those who either remember about games no more than a few times a month, or are content with the hits of past years.
Configuration No. 4 is a good gaming computer for still relatively little money, which allows you to play modern games with sufficient comfort.
Configuration #5 is a powerful gaming computer.
Configuration number 6 is perhaps the upper limit of what can be called a gaming computer for a reasonable price: this system will allow you to play any game in comfort.
Configuration #7 - turn a blind eye to prices: a very powerful, but also very expensive gaming system.

Configuration No. 1: "intelligent typewriter" (8500 rubles)

The main criterion for choosing this configuration is the price: the system unit will cost you a little more than 8 thousand rubles, while it will be assembled from good quality components, with which there will be no problems either now or in a year or two.

CPU. The cheapest option that currently exists is Intel Atom processors, which, complete with a motherboard (they are tightly soldered to it), cost 2.5-3.5 thousand rubles. There are not so many Atom models, and the main difference is the number of cores, one or two. We will choose the dual-core AtomN330: it is slightly more expensive than the single-core model, but its performance is much higher in many situations. And low performance is just the main disadvantage of Atom.

Motherboard. Let it be Intel D945GCLF2D. It has two disadvantages: firstly, the board does not have a DVI output for connecting a monitor, and secondly, the 40 mm chipset cooling fan installed on it can make noise. The first is usually unimportant for inexpensive computers used with monitors with a relatively modest resolution, the second can be overcome by connecting the fan through an adapter to a 5 or 7 V supply voltage.

Memory. There is only one connector on the board, we will occupy it with a 2-gigabyte module. Installing a smaller module is not worth it - you will save a little, but you will lose very seriously in performance.

Hard drive - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 with a capacity of 160 GB. Of course, if you prefer another manufacturer or want a larger capacity, you can freely change it, there are no restrictions on this matter.

DVD drive - Sony Optiarc AD-7243S black. Drives are not perfect, but some of the most stable and predictable in operation.

Housing - Foxconn RS-233(H). This is a very compact mini-ITX case that takes up very little space on the table and at the same time contains everything we need. It can be replaced with other mini-ITX cases, but be careful: some of them require a thin optical drive or a 2.5" hard drive.

In total, only five parts - and the computer is ready. It is suitable for working with documents, surfing the Internet, watching movies and listening to music. Games that require at least some performance graphics will not work on it, there may also be problems with HD-quality movies and "heavy" programs. But overall, this is an inexpensive, reliable, compact and quiet system for undemanding users.

.

You can develop this configuration in two directions: either reduce the dimensions by choosing more compact cases (by mini-ITX standards, Foxconn RS-233 has medium dimensions), or instead of an Intel-based motherboard, take an NVIDIA-based motherboard with DVI/HDMI- outputs and supporting HD video hardware decoding.

Configuration No. 2: everything except games (10 thousand rubles)

If the possible performance problems with Intel Atom processors scare you, then you may be interested in the following configuration - the computer is still inexpensive, but already built on an "adult" dual-core processor and a motherboard with a rich set of connectors. It will cost about 10 thousand rubles.

Such a computer is able to cope with any household tasks, except for resource-intensive games - however, for the sake of the latter, you can later add a discrete graphics card to it without any difficulty.

AMD Athlon II X2 215 processor @ 2.7 GHz. Compared to the Intel Atom running at 1.6 GHz, it's not the frequency that matters, but the architecture - even at the same frequency, the Athlon II will be noticeably faster. Of course, if funds are available, the processor can be changed to an even more powerful one. The choice of AMD processors is not fundamental - their "performance per ruble" is approximately the same as Intel processors.

An inexpensive CoolerMaster model equipped with a 4-pin connector is used as a cooler, which means that automatic speed control will work.

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2H, although not the cheapest available on the market, it has a DVI output that allows you to connect a large monitor (in particular, models with a resolution of 1920x1080 that have recently gained popularity) without any quality problems Pictures. This board is quite modest in terms of external connectors, so if you need a large number of USB ports or, say, FireWire and eSATA ports, you should pay attention to more expensive models.

Memory - DDR2-800 manufactured by Samsung, inexpensive and reliable. There is no point in chasing a higher memory frequency, not only in this, but also in more expensive computers - the performance gain will be scanty, but you risk getting stability and compatibility problems on your head.

Hard drive 160 GB. If you need it and if funds allow, it can be replaced with a model of any other volume.

DVD drive manufactured by Sony Optiarc is not too quiet in operation, but a reliable model.

The Foxconn TLM-720 micro-ATX case is not as compact as the mini-ITX case in which we assembled the previous computer, but not too bulky either. You don't need to worry about the micro-ATX format: it only limits you to the number of hard drives and expansion cards, which is unlikely to ever be a problem for you. The choice of Foxconn is determined by the power supply installed in it: it is manufactured by FSP and has good quality and reasonable noise. As an alternative, you can take InWin micro-ATX cases that cost about the same amount - they have better steel, but power supplies periodically come across with literally buzzing fans.

This computer in the system block configurator.

From the point of view of a further increase in performance, it makes some sense except that doubling the amount of memory - up to 4 GB, installing a more powerful processor on tasks typical of a home non-gaming computer, as a rule, is not justified. You can also replace the motherboard with a more serious one, for example, built on the AMD 760G chipset - but, again, despite the high power of the integrated graphics, it still won't allow you to play any modern games. One of the interesting possibilities for developing this configuration is the assembly in a compact thin package, for example, InWin IW-BL641 or even CoolerMaster Elite 100. True, then you will not have the opportunity to later add a gaming graphics card.

Configuration number 3: games, but inexpensive (15 thousand rubles)

Our next configuration, in fact, is the development of configuration #2 - with an increase in the hard drive and the addition of a good discrete graphics card that allows you to play most modern games. The cost of the computer will increase by only 5 thousand rubles, most of which is just the price of the video card.

For the sake of variety, we will assemble it on the Intel Celeron E3200 processor, which has approximately the same performance as the Athlon II X2 215. Of course, if you prefer AMD processors, you can take the processor, cooler and motherboard from the previous configuration.

Processor Intel Celeron Dual-Core E3200. Despite the rather shady name "Celeron", these processors offer excellent performance at a very low price. Their heat dissipation is low, and therefore you can safely take a "boxed" package and not think about buying a cooler - the complete one will work quietly.

Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EG41MF-US2H micro-ATX format. It makes no sense to switch to full-sized ATX boards in a computer, where there will be only one video card from the expansion cards: you will spend more money, but you will not get anything useful in exchange. In addition, a ballast-integrated video card can turn into a very useful thing if a discrete one suddenly fails: for example, not so long ago, the author of this article, having honorably buried the suddenly deceased GeForce 8800 GTS video card in the warranty department, had the opportunity not to search in a hurry at least something to replace, so as not to be left at home without a computer (especially considering that the latest AMD / ATI 5xxx series cards refused to work with its old motherboard), but calmly and thoughtfully approach the issue of choosing a new video card, which in a week or two resulted in an equally unhurried acquisition an entirely new system.

Memory - traditional DDR2-800 manufactured by Samsung. There is no superfluous memory in games, so you should either take two 2 GB modules at once, or, as we did, leave one slot free in order to be able to increase the amount of RAM at minimal cost in the future.

Video card - Leadtek GeForce GTS 250 with 512 MB of memory. A larger amount of memory (and there are similar video cards with 1024 MB) on the GTS 250 chip simply does not make sense, since it will not affect performance.

It should be noted here that many buyers choose systems with a powerful processor (for example, the Core 2 Duo series) and a budget video card worth 2.5-3 thousand rubles as a gaming computer. This makes absolutely no sense: unless you have a monitor not manufactured at the beginning of the millennium, with a resolution of 1024x768, then all modern games will “rest” on the video card - therefore, it should be powerful first of all, and the processor is already secondary. Generally speaking, according to tests of the processor dependence of modern games, one can deduce a rule of thumb: the video card in a gaming computer should be 2-3 times more expensive than the processor.

Hard drive Western Digital Caviar Green 500 GB. The Green series drives take care not only of the environment, but also of your ears - they operate at a speed of 5400 rpm, and therefore they do it noticeably quieter than hard drives at 7200 rpm. The difference in performance is small.

The Sony Optiarc AD-7243S DVD drive is a traditional choice in today's article.

The Foxconn TLM-720 case is an inexpensive and compact case with a good power supply that will easily fit all the components we have chosen (and still have a lot of space left). You can, of course, take a full-size ATX case - but why, if it will still be mostly empty inside?

The resulting configuration allows us not only to do various household chores, but also to play modern games at not too high resolutions and not at too cruel quality settings. Such a computer is perfect for people who are interested in games only occasionally, as well as for children for whom the process of playing is still more interesting than racing for performance.

This computer in the system block configurator.

Further development of this configuration - a gradual increase in the power of the processor and video card (primarily the latter, since it limits performance in modern games) - will quickly lead us to the next computer.

Configuration No. 4: games at the modern level (21 thousand rubles)

Since the price range “from 15 to 30 thousand rubles” can perhaps be called the most popular among buyers - and this is logical, because computers cheaper than 15 thousand actually do not allow you to play games, and above 30 there is already a level of performance that is excessive for the majority - in today's article we will fill it as densely as possible.

Our next configuration is a computer that does not show records in gaming performance, but allows you to play modern games with good quality settings and at fairly high resolutions.

Processor - Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6300, a slightly more powerful model than in the previous configuration. These processors consume very little energy, they heat up, respectively, weakly, so we take it with the native "boxed" cooler - it will be quite quiet in operation. By the way, so that you don't get confused in the names - Celeron, Pentium, Core 2 - let's remind you that now all these three families are essentially models with the same microarchitecture, differing only in frequency, cache size and some secondary functions. So dividing them into three families with different names is, in general, a marketing move by Intel, nothing more: no fundamental there is no difference between them.

The motherboard is ASUS P5QPL-VM EPU, it differs slightly from the Gigabyte motherboard chosen in the previous configuration: most likely, looking only at the characteristics, you won't be able to determine where anyone is. Why did we choose her? Yes, just for the sake of diversity, not Gigabyte "om the same ...

Memory - Samsung DDR2-800, two modules of 2 GB each. As in other cases, it makes no sense to take memory with a higher operating frequency: you will not get a performance increase, but you can get compatibility problems.

Video card - Sapphire Radeon HD 5770, a recently released model from the new line of AMD / ATI video cards. At a similar price, you can buy a faster Radeon HD 4890, but the HD 5770 features lower power consumption, low noise and DirectX 11 support, while the performance difference is small, on average about 10%.

The hard drive is a quiet and cold Western Digital Caviar Green. If performance is more important to you than silence, you can change it to Caviar Blue, Caviar Black or models from other manufacturers with a speed of 7200 rpm.

DVD drive - Sony Optiarc AD-7243S.

The case is still the same micro-ATX Foxconn TLM-720. There is still no point in purchasing a full-sized case for a computer, in which one video card is an expansion card: by taking a micro-ATX, you will not lose anything, but you will gain some free space under the table (or on the table - depending on where you prefer to place the system block). For a typical home computer, it is worth taking a full-size ATX case only for aesthetic reasons (that is, because of the appearance, location of connectors, and so on), there are no technical prerequisites for this.

The resulting configuration we have - good computer for people who regularly play games, but are not ready to part with large sums for the sake of this hobby. Most modern games will perform well at 1680x1050 at high quality settings, and many will run fine at 1920x1080.

This computer in the system block configurator.

Further development of this configuration implies an increase in the power of both the processor and the video card, which we will now do.

Configuration #5: Games! (27 thousand rubles)

If computer games are a serious hobby for you, for which you are ready to part with a thousand dollars, and also if you have a monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080, and you are not ready to sacrifice graphics quality settings in favor of speed, this configuration is for you.

For the sake of variety, we will assemble this computer in a full-size case, but, of course, nothing prevents us from building it in a compact micro-ATX by choosing a different motherboard.

The processor is a triple-core AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition. As practice shows, on the one hand, it makes little sense to chase a powerful processor with an average video card (we already mentioned the rule of thumb above: a video card in a gaming computer should cost 2-3 times more than a processor), on the other hand, three- and four-core models provide a smoother experience, with fewer sudden short “stutters” of games. Therefore, we choose a relatively inexpensive 3-core processor; enthusiasts can try to overclock it or unlock the fourth core.

The CoolerMaster TX3 cooler is an inexpensive model and at the same time sufficient for quiet cooling of three-core processors.

The Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 motherboard is a relatively inexpensive model, which at the same time has good characteristics, and even allows you to quite successfully overclock the processor. It makes sense to take something more serious only if you clearly understand why this fee does not suit you; buying more expensive models on older chipsets "just in case" usually turns out to be a waste of money.

We still have DDR2 memory, so we choose the 800 MHz Samsung.

Video card - Palit GeForce GTX 275, the model is relatively expensive, but very powerful. It has no direct alternatives - a competitor in the face of AMD now offers either a significantly cheaper Radeon HD 5770, or a significantly more expensive Radeon HD 5850. However, if you want to reduce the cost of a computer a little while maintaining sufficiently high performance in games, then replacing the video card with an HD 5770 looks reasonable.

Hard drive - Hitachi 7K1000.C, the model is fast, but not very quiet, especially during active work. If you are more concerned about noise than performance, you should change the hard drive to a WD Caviar Green or Samsung EcoGreen F2 of the volume you need.

DVD drive, as in the previous configuration, Sony Optiarc AD-7243S.

Case - CoolerMaster Sileo 500, which is a kind of transitional link between conventional and noise-absorbing cases: its inner surface is pasted over with foam rubber, which is not as effective as, for example, the multilayer walls of Antec cases, but can also reduce the noise level of a computer. If you wish, of course, you can take a cheaper case, for example, Ascot 6ZRA-BS Silent Pro or InWin IW-J523TA - but in this case your computer will be noisier.

The resulting computer will allow you to comfortably play all modern games at a resolution of 1680x1050, and most of them at 1920x1080 at high quality settings.

Configuration No. 6: quiet and powerful (40 thousand rubles)

Our next computer can be called a reasonable maximum in terms of gaming performance: more powerful systems, of course, have the right to life (and then we will consider one of them), but in general only individual users need it.

When assembling this computer, we will pay attention not only to its power, but also to noise - this will be expressed in the choice of an efficient processor cooler, a quiet power supply and a case with noise-absorbing walls. If silence is not so important for you, this configuration can be reassembled in a “regular” case with a complete power supply, saving five thousand five rubles.

Processor - Intel Core i5-750. Core i5 is a new family of quad-core Intel processors, the microarchitecture of which is seriously different from the Celeron, Pentium and Core 2 processors. At the moment, these processors and, most importantly, motherboards for them, have fallen in price to a level that makes it reasonable to build computers on them that cost only slightly above average , at the beginning of 2010, even cheaper models are expected, including dual-core Core i3.

Cooler - CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus, a very efficient model with a 120mm fan. Don't forget: to get a quiet system, you must not only install a large cooler, but also remember to enable automatic speed control in the BIOS of the motherboard.

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2, one of the inexpensive, but very functional motherboards for Socket 1156 micro-ATX format. Let's make two explanations at once: firstly, we choose Socket 1156, and not the older Socket 1366, because the latter does not provide any real benefit, except when you want to install an insanely powerful - and insanely expensive - processor, which is pointless in our computer (the selected processor is more than enough for the selected video card). Secondly, it makes no sense to install a full-sized ATX board in this computer either - the micro-ATX format provides us with all the necessary expansion slots, and even more.

Memory - two Kingston DDR3-1333 modules, 2 GB each. More memory today does not make much practical sense, its greater speed does not make any sense at all, at least if you are not fond of extreme overclocking of the processor. In general, it should be noted that manufacturers of chipsets and processors do not choose nominal memory frequencies randomly, but based on what data stream is able to "digest" this processor - and that is why installing an ultra-fast overclocker DDR3-1600 on a non-overclocked or slightly overclocked Core i5 very little impact on actual system performance. Just because the processor has enough DDR3-1333 and even DDR3-1066, it still won’t be able to process a larger data stream in real conditions (and not in a synthetic test that does nothing at all except receive data from memory). But stability problems with "extreme" memory are much more common than with standard ...

Please also note that the DDR3 memory voltage for Core i5 processors must be 1.5 V, maximum 1.65 V. Memory with a higher voltage supply is not suitable.

Video card - Sapphire Radeon HD 5850, built on one of the most powerful GPUs to date. Strictly speaking, there is also a more powerful HD 5870 (not counting dual-chip video cards), but the difference in performance between the 5850 and 5870 is relatively small, and therefore it usually doesn't make much sense to pay extra for an older model. What's nice, for all its top performance, the Radeon HD 5850 runs quite quietly even with its "native" cooler.

Hard drive - Western Digital Caviar Blue. This model is productive, but not the quietest - however, the case with soft silicone dampers and noise-absorbing walls will drown out the chirping of its heads.

The optical drive is a traditional Sony Optiarc AD-7243S. No comment - the drive is like a drive, moderately good.

Antec mini P180 case is one of best models for those who want to assemble a quiet computer thanks to a good steel chassis, soft suspension of hard drives on silicone dampers and multi-layer noise-absorbing plastic-aluminum walls. In terms of its dimensions, the case occupies an intermediate position between conventional micro-ATX and ATX models, but it allows you to install large processor coolers and long video cards (however, for the latter you have to remove one of the hard drive cages). Don't forget to switch all fans to minimum speed.

Corsair CMPSU-650TX power supply - the manufacturer of this model is Seasonic, well known to most connoisseurs of silence. As an alternative, consider the Corsair CMPSU-620HX or CMPSU-520HX, also made by Seasonic. But, it would seem, we would not recommend CMPSU-750TX, which belongs to the same series, for a quiet computer - it is already made by Channel Well, and the noise is significantly higher.

The resulting computer is an excellent choice for avid gamers, it will demonstrate excellent performance in any modern game, and it will also work very quietly.

Configuration #6: quiet and powerful

This computer in the system block configurator.

Further development of the configuration may consist in replacing the video card with a Radeon HD 5870, and the processor with a Core i7-860, but, to be honest, this will increase the cost more than the performance. If you do not have an unlimited budget and are not ready to spend money without regard to the effectiveness of these investments, then upgrading this computer can be safely postponed until the next generations of processors and video cards appear.

Configuration #7: GAMES!!! (70 thousand rubles)

The last - and most expensive - configuration in today's article is for those who want the highest gaming performance. However, we will not simply assemble a computer from the most expensive components available on the market - we are sure that our readers will be able to sort the price list by price themselves - but we will assemble a completely meaningful and balanced configuration. It will simply be more expensive than the vast majority of buyers need.

Processor - Intel Core i7-860. This is still the same Socket 1156 as in the previous configuration, and it was chosen for the same reason: the performance lag behind Socket 1366 is insignificant, and the difference in capabilities boils down mainly to the fact that 6-core processors will be released for Socket 1366 in the near future Core i9 processors, while 4-core models will remain older for 1156. In addition, the processors of the Extreme Edition series will remain the property of Socket 1366.

Are these processors needed in a gaming computer? Yes, in general, no, at least with them we are not talking about a balanced configuration - they are extremely expensive, but they do not give any noticeable advantage in games, since performance is limited by the video card. It makes sense to aim at such processors if you buy, say, two Radeon HD 5970 video cards - but as a result, the cost of the system unit will fly far beyond 100 thousand rubles.

For the same reason, the Core i7-860 processor was chosen, and not the older i7-870 - with a twofold difference in price, their real performance is almost the same.

The Scythe Mugen 2 SCMG-2000 cooler is a very large and very efficient cooler, which is more than enough to cool even such a processor. Its package does not currently include a mount for Socket 1156, the latter must be purchased separately (Scythe SCCSMG2-1156 model).

The motherboard - Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4, is not cheap, but since we are already going to assemble an expensive computer... But it already now has USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0 (6 Gb / s) controllers, which may be useful in the near future.

Memory - two Kingston DDR3-1333 modules, 2 GB each. As in previous cases, it makes no sense to buy a faster memory: it will not give you a performance boost, but it can cause problems. 4 GB is also enough for any "home" programs of today, although, of course, if funds allow, you can put four modules at once, getting 8 GB.

Video card - Sapphire Radeon HD 5970, 34 cm dual-chip monster, the most powerful graphics card in existence. If even 27-cm video cards do not fit into all cases, then literally single models are compatible with the HD 5970.

Hard disk - Hitachi 7K2000 with a capacity of 2000 GB. However, we put it only for an example, but you can choose the disk subsystem at your discretion - save money by taking a smaller hard drive, or, conversely, combine several disks into a RAID array ...

DVD drive - Sony Optiarc AD-7243S, we won't be original here, because gaming performance certainly doesn't depend on it.

Case - Cooler Master Cosmos 1000: beautiful, original, quiet, and most importantly, allows you to install video cards up to 37 cm long.

The power supply is Aerocool V12-1000, beautiful (although the value of this in relation to the power supply is questionable), powerful and quiet. The power of 1000 W, however, is excessive even for our configuration, so if you wish, you can safely change it to a unit with a power of 800-850 W - but, on the other hand, this will not change the overall cost of the computer much.

It would seem that this is difficult! - went to the store and bought a computer or laptop.

However, later, it turns out that your friend's computer is no worse than yours, but costs one and a half 2 times cheaper!

It is easy to understand your disappointment, especially if you have been saving up for your "brainchild" for several years.

So that you do not get into such a situation, we will give some tips on how to choose a computer that fully meets your requirements, while not overpaying.

The price of the most modern computers, today, “passes over 60 thousand rubles.

If you are extremely rich - buy on your health, but if your finances are not very good - we will tell you one secret. It is not advisable to buy an expensive computer, since the average user does not use even half of all its capabilities.

There is no point in buying a computer "for growth" - in a few years, it will become several times cheaper. Buying the worst thing that is in the store is also not an option, since in six months it will constantly “freeze”, programs, every month, require more and more resources. Let's go straight to the selection.

1. What to prefer a laptop or a system unit? A laptop with the same configuration is 20-40% more expensive. If you spend most of your time in your apartment, then it is better to give preference to the system unit and monitor, and if you are a fidget - a laptop is the only right option.

2. Where to buy? In a store you overpay more than 20%, and in a computer company you pay for components and a small amount for assembly.

3. Which line to choose? There are 2 manufacturers of processors - AMD and Intel. AMD is up to 30% cheaper, but they heat up faster and have a shorter lifespan. Here it is better not to save money, but to purchase a PC with an Intel processor.

4. Chipset. You should not choose a motherboard with the latest chipset model, for example - for Intel, the I7 is still slightly overpriced, it is better to opt for the I5. Unless you create the most complex games and do not do video editing.

5. Video card. When choosing a video card, follow the principle of its maximum compatibility with the processor: AMD - ATI; Intel - invidia.

6. How many cores? Today, a 4-core processor is more than enough, unless you want to use your computer as a server.

7. Processor capacity. Choose 64-bit, it processes more data at one time.

8. For the intended purpose. For complex calculations, a high processor frequency is important; for modern games - a good video card.

9. RAM. Do not be stingy - it is usually never enough.

Why desktops do not lose relevance?

Desktop computers (desktops) are gradually giving way to mobile systems - after all, we are increasingly opting for netbooks, laptops and tablets. But this does not mean that desktops have no consumer value at all, for many everyday tasks they are still indispensable, and for some they are more convenient than portable PCs.

The main advantage of desktops is greater flexibility and versatility. They are simply tailored to any task, easily upgraded, and with minor changes to the configuration, they adapt to changing user requirements. On the other hand, without special knowledge, it is very difficult to find exactly such a combination of components that would meet all your requirements and not entail unnecessary costs.

Which desktop configuration should I choose for common tasks?

Task 1. Study, work with documents

The simplest desktop configuration option. Office and educational applications do not need a powerful video adapter or a large hard drive. Any modern processor has enough computing power to meet all the needs of such software, and memory modules are now both capacious and inexpensive, which allows you to easily run several applications without experiencing discomfort while working with them. Of course, studying is different: someone may need graphic applications, someone may need sound editors, and software development environments are also not the most economical in terms of power, but still there are rarely enough resources to organize the educational process; another thing is professional activity.

Let's turn to the specific proposals of vendors. So, Acer in a budget model Aspire M1400 offers a tri-core processor, 3 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive. If everything is clear with the processor and memory (for most applications this is more than enough), then the 500 GB drive seems to be redundant - although in fact this is the most preferred configuration. Due to the well-known events in Taiwan, HDD prices have changed in such a way that it is unprofitable to install drives of a smaller volume: their price is almost the same.

Those who love Apple products are no stranger to paying a hefty sum to own any Apple product; even budget desktop PC models are not cheap, but we should not forget that the buyer will receive a completely ready-to-use configuration at his disposal. For example, Apple iMac 21.5 inches, which is a monoblock. The design, among other things, takes up a minimum of space on the desktop.

With the acquisition DEPO Race X140S you are given the opportunity to change the configuration directly on the manufacturer's website, choosing a convenient price-performance ratio. In the most simplified version, the system will be shipped without an OS and with a 320 GB hard drive.

Undemanding users should pay attention to DNS products: in the line Home a budget model is available, equipped with a dual-core processor and a 500 GB hard drive. The remaining parameters are also quite sufficient for office work or study.

By the way, the opinion that the products of A-brands are excessively expensive is erroneous. So, HP Pavilion Slimline has a very competitive price, and the parameters are no worse than those of many of the Russian-assembled computers discussed above. It is also characteristic that the model is equipped with a discrete graphics card - this will make it attractive to those who are interested in advanced graphics features.

Some vendors clearly distinguish between their the lineup and allocate computers for specialized tasks. In particular, F-Center promotes Flextron Focus and Focus Plus as a computer for schoolchildren and students, forming a configuration containing everything you need to work, including a complete set of pre-installed Microsoft software, licensed Office 2007 Home & Student (at a special price). In fact, this is also a “plug and play” computer, which has good parameters not only for work and study, but also for recreation.

Similar characteristics of the model iRU Home 310 also intended for home use. A very tempting price and the presence of pre-installed software makes it one of the most attractive budget options. The only thing to keep in mind is that the ability to upgrade this PC is limited due to the outdated platform.

MicroXperts Family FM11-11 also applies to entry-level PCs, but in basic supply OS and apps not included. It could be said that for such a "stuffing" its price is too high, but the 500-W power supply, card reader and motherboard, which allows the possibility of a gradual upgrade to a higher level, justify it.

Those who wish to independently choose the initial configuration can use the platform R-Style Proxima MC 841, for which several configuration options are provided: if you wish, you choose the processor, the amount of RAM and hard drive, as well as the operating system and its bit depth. Of course, these changes will affect the final cost, but you can immediately adjust the configuration to suit software.

But what about those who are just going to master the basics of computer literacy? Indeed, during the time that the learning process will last, the PC configuration will become outdated, and new requirements will certainly force you to purchase another platform. In this case, pay attention to the super-budget KEY Economy computer: it will certainly not be able to compete in performance with more expensive products, but its functionality is quite enough for beginners. Having gained experience and figured out exactly what tasks you will have to solve on a computer, you will decide on a further more powerful and up-to-date configuration.

Task 2: Watch HD video

For many users, a computer is needed not only to work with office applications, but also as a home theater for watching movies in HD quality. This imposes certain requirements on some PC components and, first of all, on the video card: it must support hardware decoding of HD video, otherwise the entire load will fall on the central processor. However, even with a powerful graphics card, but a weak processor, stuttering can be observed, so try to avoid buying a PC equipped with low-end CPU models.

Finally, the hard drive: HD movie volumes are large, and if you plan to store your collection on it, you should consider purchasing a computer with a drive of 1 TB or higher. By the way, it's a good idea to additionally purchase a second hard drive. Accordingly, you will also need an optical drive that supports the Blu-ray format - if you prefer to place movies on media of this type. Unfortunately, few manufacturers equip their PCs with a Blu-ray drive, preferring to include it in much more powerful configurations, so be prepared to buy it separately, for example, as an external device.

Acer Aspire M3410 has undoubted advantages in the form of a sufficiently powerful processor, large memory and hard drive, but, alas, does not support Blu-ray discs. However, its cost is low, and it will not be a problem to equip the device with an appropriate drive.

Among the Apple offers, you can purchase the same model iMac 21.5" but with a larger hard drive, a faster graphics card, and a 1TB (or larger) hard drive.

There is no suitable ready-made configuration in Depo Computers products, but it is possible to change the existing one. We take the model as a basis DEPO Race X340S and through simple manipulations, we get a very good PC for working as a home theater: a dual-core processor, two hard drives (320 GB for the system and 1 TB for the movie collection), a high-performance graphics card and an optical drive with Blu-ray support.

DNS Extreme- the choice for budget buyers, although the price will not affect performance: the configuration is balanced and quite suitable for working as a media center. The presence of a card reader will allow you to play content from digital camera without first copying it to your hard drive.

Among branded products, you can find interesting offers that have a compromise between performance and dimensions - for example, HP Pro 6200 XY102EA made in the form factor Small Form Factor so it doesn't take up much space on your desktop. Its characteristics are not top-end, but the price is not exorbitant, and it can easily cope with the task of playing high-definition video.

Another option can be chosen from the F-Center product family - Flextron Astra. Perhaps the only drawback of this model is the lack of a Blu-ray drive, the rest of the characteristics meet all the requirements.

Configuration iRU Home 710 more like an entry-level gaming PC: a powerful processor and a powerful discrete graphics card make it a versatile solution for most home tasks, including multimedia. But the cost is comparable to other configurations, so we can recommend it as a good choice for watching movies in HD quality.

MicroXperts Family FM13-11 W7HB also contains some redundancy in the configuration, though not so great as to use it as a game. But with HD-video playback, he can easily cope, and with the launch of most graphic applications, too.

Tailoring your configuration is easy with the base platform R-Style Proxima MC 862: You can install second-generation Intel Core processors in it, choose any edition of Windows 7, replace the base 250 GB disk with any other, and even upgrade with a Blu-ray drive. Of course, the price of the finished product will also depend on such significant configuration changes.

Of course, budget options should not be overlooked: KEY Optima, for example, will also cope with high-definition video playback, but it is possible that in some cases it will slow down. Yes, and there is not too much space on the built-in drive, nevertheless, this option attracts with its low cost.

Problem 3. Three-dimensional games

The hardest task for a computer is games. For a comfortable gaming experience, it is necessary that all components, without exception, have high performance, and the configuration is balanced. Compromises are inappropriate here, but there is no limit to perfection: the cost of especially powerful gaming stations exceeds hundreds of thousands of rubles. Of course, such resources are far from being in demand in all modern games: most of them work satisfactorily even on average configurations. Of course, I will consider computers designed to run three-dimensional games - they will definitely need a powerful discrete graphics card, a powerful processor, and a large amount of RAM. But the hard drive is not so critical in terms of volume, and there is no point in chasing very capacious models, it is much more efficient to install two drives and place games separately from system files - this will also add performance. Don't forget about the case too: gaming PC components operate under stress and require efficient cooling, which is almost impossible to achieve in a small form factor. Of course, pay attention to the power of the power source: it must provide a stable power supply, with a margin. As a rule, in gaming configurations, PSUs with a power of less than 500 watts are not used.

Of course, each vendor releases a PC, taking into account these features, but it does not hurt to carefully study the proposals: after all, the desire to save money is often beyond common sense, and, as already mentioned, compromises in gaming configurations are inappropriate.

Acer Predator G5910 It is positioned precisely in this segment: it has on board a quad-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a powerful graphics card. A terabyte hard drive is probably overkill, but considering that the computer will probably be used not only for gaming tasks, this does not hurt.

For those who intend to use Apple as a gaming platform, it's a little easier: the company's pricing policy suggests that any product is suitable for all applications, so you can safely take any of the desktops. But it's still better to focus on the Apple iMac 27-inch - a large high-resolution screen and a high-performance graphics card will provide enough comfort for all the modern games available for this platform.

DEPO Ego 8751is- another constructor, in which we will put two 500 GB hard drives, an Intel Core i7 processor, and a more powerful video card (from those available for selection). It is strange that the developers limited the memory to four gigabytes: eight or at least six would not hurt such a system. However, it can be purchased separately.

Company DNS there are a lot of models, each of which is quite suitable for games, so when choosing, you should focus on the option that best meets the requirements of your favorite game. One of the most versatile models Prestige XL, optimally fits the characteristics of most of them, representing the golden mean in all respects. Of course, if it used two smaller capacity disk drives instead of one, better results could be achieved.

The opinion that A-brands do not pay attention to desktop gaming configurations is wrong, and this is an example HP Pavilion HPE-550ru LL444EA. Of course, this is not a top model, but its parameters allow you to successfully run most modern games, and for an upgrade it is enough to upgrade the video card and complete the system with another hard drive (the rest of the components are selected with a margin).

Fans of gaming platforms based on AMD processors should take a closer look at the model Flextron Futura. Its parameters will not only allow you to comfortably play three-dimensional games now, but also meet the requirements of the expected developments. And if you decide to purchase a powerful gaming configuration for such reasons - perhaps this is a good option.

Good value for money computer iRU Home 710: the combination of components provides high performance and requires virtually no configuration modifications. However, the manufacturer's assortment also includes more advanced models, for example, containing two hard drives, although the price is higher.

MicroXperts specialists in PC managed to come close to creating the ideal model of a gaming computer Game Arena GA14-13 SLI. At a relatively low cost, the configuration included not only two video cards in SLI mode, but also two drives: an SSD for the operating system and application software and an HDD for games and other applications. Obviously, such a design will not only work quickly, but also load. This is a suitable option for those who are looking for not just a gaming PC, but a top-end system for a reasonable price.

But this time there will be no super-budget models among the products of the KEY company, although there are inexpensive options, but you can call them gaming with a big stretch. For example, the KEY Gaming PC differs little from its own kind, except for the presence of a very large hard drive. In my opinion, it is optimal for video processing, but not the best option for games. However, the price for it is the lowest of all those considered, and it is quite possible that someone will like this configuration as a universal one.

conclusions

There are no solutions for all occasions, and ready-made computers from the listed manufacturers are a vivid example of this. Of course, I considered the most suitable of all products in each of the tasks and chose, in my opinion, the most successful ones, but almost any of them, most likely, will need further development or modernization in the future. In a word, when purchasing a computer, do not forget to check with the seller whether the device allows the possibility of replacing the processor with a more powerful one, whether the power supply will pull a more powerful video card and an additional hard drive. Having received answers to your questions, you can easily determine whether it is worth buying this particular PC or choosing a more expensive, but also more promising one.

We buy 1C! How to choose 1C? What needs to be considered?

First of all, 1C is a development company software products for automation various kinds activities of small and medium-sized businesses, enterprises and large holdings.

A large number of 1C programs are presented on the software market for almost any type of activity of organizations. In this regard, managers at the sight of a huge list of programs often begin to feel some confusion and a number of questions arise: “How to choose 1C program? Which version 1C 8 choose

We hope that the content of this article will help answer most of the questions and maybe save you time and effort.

Platform, configuration... What does the customer buy?

Great question! In fact, in most cases, both the platform and the configuration are purchased. Let's draw an analogy.

The platform is something like an ordinary desk. And the Configuration is everything that is on this desk.

At the same time, the desk itself can exist, but without it, there is nowhere to put all the stationery. Thus, you can use the platform as a springboard for developing your own unique software product from scratch for specific business tasks. And when purchasing a “box delivery”, both the platform and the configuration chosen as a result, and a license for 1 user are provided ( workplace).

What does it usually consist of? right choice 1C programs in the end?

  1. the 1C configuration itself (Accounting, Retail, Trade Management, Enterprise Management and other options),
  2. platform 1C,
  3. possibly related software required when organizing the work of a large number of users at the same time (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, Oracle Database)
  4. sometimes equipment (server, personal computers for users, shop equipment and so on).

Please note that we recommend planning your purchase and choosing 1C in this sequence.

We select a configuration. How to choose the right configuration 1C?

To choose the right 1C configuration, we recommend that you first read its description in. You can also seek advice from an IT Consulting specialist who will tell you how to choose the right 1C program and advise on its functionality.

Top most popular 1C configurations:

When choosing a 1C configuration, you should pay attention to one main feature their gradations. 1C configurations are typical and industry-specific.

Typical configurations are 1C software products developed directly by 1C programming teams. At the same time, it should be understood that in typical configurations, developers are trying to implement a common set of functionality, regardless of the direction of the business. That is, some specific features in a typical configuration may be missing. In connection with the attempt of developers to unify their software product, it usually turns out to be quite “large” in size. However, when choosing a standard solution, a platform, a 1C program and a license for one workplace are purchased. Theoretically, you won’t have to pay anything else (unless you need more licenses or you need to implement the 1C program by a team of professionals and some improvements to the 1C program to suit your personal characteristics and needs).

Industry configurations are software products developed by 1C partners. In their development, partners use a platform and a typical configuration, on which they build their solution. As a rule, according to the developers, "unnecessary" functionality is usually excluded in the industry configuration, and the configuration itself is less cumbersome. However, you should pay attention to the cost. Often, in addition to the total costs for the platform, configuration, hardware, and possibly other software, you will need to separately purchase the industry solution itself, which costs as a separate configuration. Moreover, it may be necessary to separately pay for maintenance and receiving industry configuration updates.

In any case, only you know what exactly you want to get in the end, and IT-Consulting specialists will advise “How to choose program 1C". It is important to pay attention to the cost of maintenance, configuration recommendations and feedback on 1C programmers with whom you plan to implement the product.

We choose a platform. How to choose the right 1C platform?

So, as we have already found out, the platform is inherently the basis for the operation of 1C programs. How to choose 1C platform?

Initially, when buying a platform, the file mode of working with 1C configurations is implied. That is, the installed platform will be a set of service files and folders. This option is quite acceptable when the number of simultaneously working users does not exceed 5 people. We will make a reservation that when used on the main computerSSD-drives on which the platform and configuration were installed, the number of concurrent users may be higher. However, the use of SSD drives is just a reprieve from purchasing server software. And the server software may, in turn, require new, more powerful hardware.

When choosing 1C software, you should be guided by the following principles:

  • the basic delivery set consists of a platform, a configuration and a license for 1 workstation,
  • we organize a new workplace - another license is purchased,
  • 1C server requires a separate license. At the same time, it should also be taken into account that, from a technological point of view, servers can have different bit depths: 32 and 64 bits.

We recommend the 64-bit version of the 1C server software. Yes, it's more expensive. Our recommendation is based on practical experience and understanding that in an age of rapid development of technology, the 4GB RAM limit that you get if you purchase the 32-bit version can be critical in terms of program performance.

Let's note one more feature regarding licensing of workplaces. Sometimes you should think about purchasing "packages" of licenses. For example, a license for 5 seats is usually cheaper than purchasing five licenses, one for 1 seat.

Select licensing options. What are 1C licenses?

We note right away that the acquired license remains with the owner forever. Addresses, computers, 1C programs change (for example, with the growth of the company, the transition to a 1C program of a completely different level) - the license remains with the buyer. It is important not to lose the documentation received upon purchase! Remember, the 1C platform is licensed, not the 1C program.

There are two types of 1C licenses: software and hardware.

Software licenses are installed by activating the pin code provided at purchase. The primary and backup license pins are contained in the accompanying documentation (yellow booklet).

Hardware licenses are USB media or, more simply, "flash drives". This option will cost more. However, it is more mobile. In the case of frequent job changes, it will be enough just to insert the USB key into the computer, and you can work. But it is worth remembering that in case of loss of a hardware license, its replacement will have to be paid separately.

We recommend using software licenses. Even in the case when all the backup pin codes run out, there is always the opportunity to apply again to 1C and get another one. Our experts will help you decide on the type of licenses and calculate the optimal number for high-quality work of employees.

Related software. How to choose programs?

Depending on the goals of the automation, additional software may be required. For example, a company needs the ability to make phone calls directly from 1C. In this case, you will have to purchase licenses for telephony separately.

Example of calculating the cost of automation

It is important to understand that all costs for the purchase of software, licenses, and equipment add up. Therefore, when calculating the automation budget, we recommend that you do not look at the prices indicated next to each individual item, whether it be a program or equipment, but use it, but contact IT Consulting specialists directly, who will help you save on the purchase of meaningless programs and choose the best options for 1C.

Let's consider a simple example. The manager wants to manage and analyze customer relationships. In this case, 1C: CRM may be additionally required.

1C: CRM can be positioned as a separate independent solution for certain tasks. But, as a rule, often 1C: CRM is purchased in parallel with 1C: Trade Management or other configuration.

  • First step. We choose and buy the main software product 1C. In our example, we can consider as a pair of programs 1C: Trade Management and 1C: CRM or industry product 1C: Trade and Customer Relationship Management.
  • Second step. We count the number of users of the program. We add the required number of 1C licenses or a suitable package to the calculation. In this case, for example, you need to purchase separately licenses for 1C and separately licenses for 1C: CRM.
  • Third step. Server part. There are a lot of users, so we plan to purchase a 1C server license. We note right away that in the case of using SQL, the cost of the database itself should also be taken into account. In our example, we do not include it in the list.
  • Fourth step. We plan to make calls from 1C. We add the cost of licensing, for example, SoftFon to our list.

An important addition to our list is the cost of maintenance. You should understand the need to conclude an agreement, and sometimes also an agreement to support an industry solution. Without this agreement, there will be no access to software updates and other maintenance services. We recommend that you check the cost of support with IT-Consulting specialists.

Server software

For the organization of the server version of the work requires a separate specialized software. It can be free and paid.

Free server solutions, such as Open Source, have appeared not so long ago, so it will most likely not be so easy for a qualified specialist to use them.

We recommend that you find out the cost of paid versions of server software directly from 1C or from partner companies. The question of choosing the right server software is actually quite complicated. Be prepared for additional costs to purchase it and pay for the work of specialists in installing and configuring server software.

Server equipment. How to choose a 1C server?

Most 1C software products are rather cumbersome and resource-intensive. Therefore, for optimal software performance, you should pay close attention to your hardware fleet, constantly maintain it and, if necessary, improve it.

If it is necessary to purchase server software, it is important to remember that its cost is not included in the cost of 1C components, and is purchased separately.

We strongly recommend that you contact qualified specialists when it is necessary to review the company's current fleet of equipment in order to provide recommendations for improvement or the acquisition of new capacities. In this case, the optimality and high fault tolerance of the hardware-software complex is practically guaranteed in the multi-user mode of use.

It is important to understand that even the most up-to-date and up-to-date software will not work optimally on outdated hardware.

Rent 1C. Cloud 1C

Instead of purchasing a large amount of server equipment, you can consider using 1C servers. The principle of operation is as follows. The company will connect via secure channels to the 1C data center, where the platform and the selected configuration are already installed. 1C specialists independently maintain the software and hardware complex and are responsible for this. Moreover, the user can also customize his configuration to fit his needs, implement software product improvements, external reports and processing. This option is partly financially beneficial.

And now let's note some disadvantages of such a solution:

  • complicated integration and/or synchronization with third-party software. For example, a company needed to organize a configuration exchange with a website. Yes, this issue can be resolved. However, in order to ensure security, there will probably be a long correspondence and coordination of all aspects of the interaction of software products with 1C.
  • Complicated attachment of files. For example, you need to attach a scan of a contract or additional agreement to the corresponding element of the 1C program. In this case, you will first have to upload them to 1C servers, and only then will it be possible to attach them to the program.
  • all commercial information about the company's activities is stored on a completely third-party resource. Often this approach to storing information does not satisfy customers.

The solution for renting 1C server capacities is more suitable for small companies. For large developing companies, such a solution is unlikely to suit. In any case, before making a final decision, it is necessary to once again weigh all the pros and cons of the proposed options and think about what 1C choose.

Summarize

Let's talk again about all the costs that await in the event of a decision to introduce 1C software products:

  • configuration 1C
  • user seat licenses
  • maybe server software
  • possibly server hardware
  • possibly the cost of additional software modules and services (depending on your needs and automation goals).

In addition, we recommend that you be ready to pay the cost of the work of qualified specialists in installing, configuring and finalizing the software for the needs of the company. If the buyer’s staff has qualified 1C programmers who can independently perform installation and configuration, then this expense item can be deleted from our list.

So, the total cost of implementation consists of several components/aspects, which in without fail must be taken into account. Do not forget also about the need for constant maintenance and updating software systems and modules for their relevance and correct operation. Good luck and prosperity to your business!
