The shears press is driven by an electric motor 3 through a V-belt drive (the belt designation is given in Appendix A), a flywheel 2 and a single-stage gear drive 1, 4 to an eccentric shaft 6. The gear pair 1, 4 is spur-toothed, cylindrical. The support journals of the pinion shaft are installed in bearings (the designation of the bearings is given in Appendix B)

The pinion shaft Z1=14 has a rim width of 85 mm and is made of steel 40X GOST4543-71 (hardness 240...260 HB), the wheel Z2=126 has a rim width of 80 mm and is made of steel 35L GOST977-88.

The movement to the slider 10 of the section section is transmitted through the connecting rod 5, to the slider 8 of the press for punching holes through the balancer 7 and the sinking stone.

The actuators are turned on and off through a system of levers connected on the one hand with the connecting rod and the sinking stone, and on the other hand with electromagnets 9.

Set the switch to the position: "strip section" or to the "perforating section" position.

  1. Hole punching:

Fix the punch and the matrix in the appropriate sockets. Then, turning the handle of the centering mechanism, lower the punch into the die and insert the die holder body so that a uniform gap between the die and the punch is maintained.

Attach the die holder body to the bed and check the gap again.

Depending on the thickness of the punched material, expose the puller body, for which loosen the nuts and locknuts, and, turning the screws, insert the puller body with a gap of 1 ... 2 mm from the sheet plane.

Tighten nuts and locknuts. Installing the puller body with a skew is not allowed.

Use the centering mechanism to punch hole punches. Lower the punch with the handle and align the punch on the workpiece with the punch core.

  1. Strip section:

To cut shaped steel, install the appropriate tool in the slot of the slider and bed. Align the stop plate to the appropriate angle (90°, 45°) according to the grooves of the guide and fix it. Install replacement clamps. Enter the rolled metal into the tool socket and set it either according to the markup or at the cutting stop of the workpieces, the size of which is pre-set. Do not cut a strip that has oil stains on its surface.

During the operation of the notching device, the gap between the knives is set by spacers under the supporting surfaces and depends on the thickness of the material being cut. The knives of the notching device must fit snugly against the supporting surfaces, must be well fixed and dry.

Blow out the bed cavity under the section slider with compressed air to remove accumulated scale or remove with a scraper.

For safety, the press shears are equipped with guards for all rotating parts of the notching device, the punching zone.

When working with scissors:

  • do not cut or punch holes in profiles and materials larger than indicated in the technical specification at δv = 500 N/mm²;
  • do not remove barriers;
  • do not work on the strip section without clamps;
  • do not adjust the scissors when the electric motor is on.
