ARS sleepers are designed for use in conjunction with anchor rail fastening. Significantly reduces the amount of work on the assembly of the rail-sleeper grid. When using the ARS sleeper, it is possible to automate the assembly process at the link assembly base. The use of the ARS sleeper ensures that the rail bars are secured against longitudinal movements. There is no need to periodically tighten the elements. This reduces the cost of maintenance work on the track.

Seamless tracks based on anchor rail fastening have the following advantages:

the ARS fastening itself is about 7 kg lighter than the KB-65 fastening, which makes it possible to reduce the weight of each kilometer of the railway track by about 13 tons;

the APC mount has fewer parts, which greatly simplifies the installation process;

there are no parts that need to be lubricated and tightened;

the possibility of straightening the railway track up to 25 mm in level;

Scope of ARS fastening.

An unlined track with ARS fastening and reinforced concrete sleepers ShS-ARS or sleepers Sh-A05 (with improved performance characteristics for longitudinal and transverse shear, reinforced central and end parts), can be laid:

    in straight sections of the railway track and curves, with a radius of 350 m or more, with a rail gauge of 1520 mm (experimental sections are laid in curves with a radius of less than 300 m; experimental work on sleepers ShS-ARS-K for track sections in curves, with a gauge of 1530 mm, and for transitional with a variable gauge of 1522, 1524, 1526 and 1528 mm);

    on bridges, with a ride both on ballast with sleepers of the ShS-ARS-M type with fastening elements for security devices, and with a ballastless bridge deck;

    with sleepers of the ShS-ARS-Ch type for laying security devices in the shuttles and of the ShS-ARS-Ch1 type for laying within the shuttle and the entire bridge with a ballast layer between the shuttles;

    in tunnels (the design of the vibration-protective path on the beds has been developed).

Due to climatic conditions, ARS fastening can be used in regions with different annual rail temperature ranges.
2. The main features of the design of ARS fastening and sleepers ShS-ARS, Sh-A05. Their specifications.

Elastic rail fastenings of the ARS-4 type (anchor intermediate rail fastening) are being actively introduced on the railways.

ARS fasteners belong to the type of unlined elastic fastenings. It is operated on high-load and high-speed lines with increased axial loads, including in subways.

Scope of ARS fastening.

This type of fastening is used for attaching R65 rails (for wide gauge) to reinforced concrete anchor sleepers of the ShS-ARS or Sh-A05 4x10 type. An unlined path is formed, which can fit in the following cases:
