Installing a Bosch dishwasher: how to properly install and connect the dishwasher. Do-it-yourself Bosch dishwasher installation Bosch spv 40x80 installation diagram

The purchase of a Bosch dishwasher in many stores is accompanied by a mandatory offer of the services of a specialist who will install the device. Many sellers, clearly tied to receiving a percentage of the imposed services, scare with tales that this is an extremely difficult task. Meanwhile, installing a Bosch dishwasher is a simple operation that is completely within the capabilities of a man who is comfortable with his hands and tools. If you want to save a couple thousand rubles in your budget, check out our instructions.

The funds freed up through self-installation can be spent on purchasing good detergent, rinse aid and salt.

We are looking for a suitable place for installation

Our review is nothing more than instructions for installing a Bosch dishwasher. In it we will address the following questions:

  • How to choose a location for installation;
  • How to prepare to connect to the power grid;
  • How to connect to the sewer - there are some subtleties here;
  • How to connect to the water supply.

After reading the instructions, installing a Bosch dishwasher will seem like a matter of five minutes.

In fact, nothing can be done in 5 minutes, but if you have all the tools, you can do it in half an hour or an hour. First you need to decide on the type of dishwasher. With separately standing models there are no problems - find any free place for it and make sure that there is access to a water supply system, an electrical network and a drain nearby. Installing a built-in Bosch dishwasher is more difficult, since you need to find a place to install it in the kitchen unit.

Suitable places for installing a free-standing dishwasher are near the sink, between the unit and the nearest wall, in any other place where communications can be connected without problems. Just don’t install it near radiators - technology doesn’t like that. You will have to suffer with built-in appliances, since you need to measure the height, depth and width seat even before purchasing. Accordingly, you can buy either a full-size dishwasher from Bosch or a narrow one (45 cm wide).

A slight excess of the required dimensions is allowed, since the reserve is always needed. Typically, the compartments for built-in dishwashers are 0.5-1 cm larger than required. If suddenly there is a back-to-back space, you will have to somehow solve this problem.

Let's start the instructions for installing a Bosch dishwasher with the selection of tools and necessary parts. We will need:

  • Fum tape - will provide increased tightness of connections;
  • Adjustable wrench - to tighten the nuts;
  • Siphon for connection to the sewer - here you need a siphon with a special fitting for connecting washing machines and dishwashers;
  • A tee for water or a tap - here you need to look at the situation.

It is also recommended to purchase a coarse filter with a mesh filter element. In some cases, we will need inlet and drain hoses if they were not included in the kit. To install a Bosch built-in dishwasher, you will need screwdrivers.

If your home plumbing system already has a good performance filter installed, then there is no need to buy an additional one.

As already mentioned, installing a freestanding dishwasher does not require special effort. Place it on a flat surface and check the correct installation using a level. This is not to say that a level is vital here, but it is better that all equipment stands level, without distortions. After connection is complete do not forget to make sure that the dishwasher does not press on the hoses.

With a built-in dishwasher from Bosch, the situation is somewhat more complicated. It needs to be mounted in the compartment allocated for it and the door hung. Another difficulty is that we need to lead the hoses to the sewer and water supply, and doing this while inside the headset is somewhat difficult - due to the lack of free space. At this stage there are two options:

  • Make all the connections and only then install the device in the niche;
  • First, install the dishwasher, route the hose to adjacent compartments and begin connecting to the sewerage system and water supply.

In what sequence you will install the Bosch dishwasher is up to you, since here you need to navigate the situation and the location of communications.

As users who have installed a dishwasher with their own hands say (any trademark, optionally from Bosch), the main difficulty is often created by the hinged door.

Connection to water supply

The next stage of installation is connecting to the water supply. The dishwasher needs cold water. To do this, we shut off the supply from the riser or close the common house tap, cut in a tee and install a tap that cuts off the water supply to the dishwasher. If this is an end pipe, we simply install a single tap here. You can also use a three-piece with an already built-in faucet - these can be purchased at any plumbing store.

During the installation of the dishwasher, we seal all connections with fum tape, winding it in the direction of the thread. We tighten the nuts, check the tightness of the tap (the valve must be closed), and then connect the supply hose to the tee. There is no need to open the tap at the installation stage; all tests are carried out later, when everything is ready.

Is it possible to connect a dishwasher to a hot water pipe? During the installation process, many people, in an effort to save on electricity, want to connect to the hot water supply. There really is such an opportunity, but before that you need to open it technical specifications purchased device and make sure that Bosch specialists allow hot water supply (as a rule, the maximum temperature is limited to +60 degrees).

Please note that if the passport contains a note that the maximum inlet temperature is +20 degrees, you cannot connect the Bosch dishwasher to a hot water supply - such an installation will void the warranty.

Installing a dishwasher connected to a hot water riser is done in the same way as to a cold water riser. But you must remember that the quality of hot water supply in our country is far from ideal. If you set up this way, take care of reliable filtration. Otherwise, you will be subject to loss of warranty, and possibly the purchase of spare parts for the Bosch PM.

Another disadvantage of this installation is that hot water from the tap does not start flowing immediately, but with some delay. Remember this when connecting to communications.

Connection to sewerage

We continue to discuss the installation instructions for a dishwasher from Bosch. It's time to connect the unit to the sewer. The task is simple, but there are certain subtleties - odors from the sewer pipe should not enter the dishwasher. Imagine - you open the door, hoping to remove the plates that are squeaking from cleanliness, and you are greeted by the amazing smell of sewage.

This happens when users neglect the rules and make the drain hose straight. Meanwhile, he must approach the siphon in such a way as to avoid the penetration of a disgusting odor into the device itself. To do this, bend the drain hose so that it reaches the floor and rises from there to the siphon. If necessary, increase the length of the hose. Some experts recommend making two bends, but this may be unnecessary - after all, the right siphon should save you from the sewer smell.

When installing your dishwasher, do not forget to clamp the connection between the drain hose and the siphon pipe with clamps - this will avoid its accidental breakdown with subsequent flooding of neighbors and floors.

Electrical connection

On last stage To install the dishwasher, we need to connect it to the electrical network. It would be nice if the outlet was located very close. If it is not there, the outlet needs to be installed. It is advisable that it runs with a separate wire directly from the meter and is protected by a separate RCD.. Please note that installation of Bosch dishwashers with connections via extension cords and tees is not permitted.

There are cases where an incorrect connection with electrical network people were deprived of warranty - remember this when you install a Bosch dishwasher. By the way, this is a requirement not only from Bosch, but also from any other manufacturers.

If there is already a socket nearby, but it is already occupied by some kind of equipment, you don’t have to bother with running a separate wire - we remove the single socket and install a double socket in its place. Formally, no rules have been violated, since connecting via double sockets nothing is prohibited by anyone or anything. After you have made the connection, you can open the water tap, plug the plug into the socket, click on the RCD (if available) and start checking.

At the end of the instructions for installing a Bosch dishwasher yourself, it should be noted that this entire procedure is surprisingly similar to the process of installing a washing machine. A similar principle is used here, the differences are minimal. And if you have ever installed a washing machine, you can also handle a dishwasher. And what company it is - Bosch or not Bosch - no longer matters much.

The desire to install an electric dishwasher in the kitchen is understandable: it saves time, wastes a minimum of water, and efficiently washes dishes with greasy stains and dried pieces of food.

Self-installation of a Bosch dishwasher is not fundamentally different from connecting similar technical devices, and the installation manual is provided with detailed diagrams. In this article we will look at the procedure for installing a dishwasher and the features of its connection to communications, providing the material step by step photos and thematic videos.

Before purchasing a kitchen assistant, you should evaluate the capabilities of the room and find a place to place a new household appliance. There are desktop and floor-standing models, built-in, built-in and free-standing types of machines, respectively, you can choose the most suitable option. Best models We reviewed Bosch brand dishwashers in.

You need to completely abandon the purchase only if the kitchen is small and every centimeter of usable space is already occupied.

Usually the dishwasher is placed in the lower tier of furniture, not far from the sink. The connection location is dictated by the location of sewer and water supply communications. The closer the machine is to the pipes, the fewer problems there are with installing and connecting a Bosch dishwasher, regardless of its technical characteristics.
