Suicide before conversion (Depends)

Shot by Javier before being converted (Out of mercy, depends)

Gabriel Garcia, also known as Gabe is an original character who appears in the video game episode "The Ties That Bind, Part 1" The Walking Dead The Game by Telltale Games. He is the son of David Garcia and the older brother of Mariana.

Gabriel is depicted as an ordinary teenager, hot-tempered and often irrational. Despite good intentions, his words and actions usually put himself and others in danger. He strives to be like his father, David, and is genuinely concerned about his well-being, going to the point where he is willing to die and inflicting serious damage to ensure his safety.

He is prone to sudden outbursts of anger. In Family Ties - Part 2, he threatens to shoot Conrad (Depends), and in Deeper Water, he reveals and even accuses Javier of killing Conrad in the tunnel, although Conrad was holding Gabe at gunpoint, much to the group's dismay. (Depends)

Almost nothing is known about Gabriel's life before or after the apocalypse, other than that he lived with his father, David Garcia, and his stepmother, Kate Garcia, and he enjoys playing cards and chess.

Shortly after the outbreak occurred, Gabe's grandfather died of cancer and was resuscitated in his bedroom. Gabe's sister Mariana went to her grandfather's room to give him some water. When the family finds out he is alive, they are confused about how it happened. When it was revealed that Raphael was indeed a walker, Gabe seemed shocked by the situation and was clearly to blame for the events that unfolded, including his grandmother being bitten on the cheek.

Years in the making, Gabe is now a teenager and has revealed that he does not get along with his stepmother Kate due to his mood swings during puberty and adolescence, which can cause his sudden and frequent easily triggered anger, as stated by Javier.

When his sister is shot in the head by the New Frontier, Gabe becomes visibly angry and upset, and now states that he wants to be like his father, strong and brave.

Gabe returns to Prescott with Tripp and Kate, whether Javier stays with Clementine or not. He tries to help Eleanor treat Kate's wound only to run away after she screams in pain. (Depends) Javier finds him behind a wall attacking a deceased walker, Javier tries to console him, feeling like a coward for walking away during Kate's surgery.

When Prescott is attacked by the New Frontier, Gabe assists Eleanor in evacuating Kate to vehicle, the group leaves. After reaching a safe distance, Javier and Conrad argue about Francine's death, causing Gabe to draw his weapon on the latter as he grabs Javier, threatening him. Eventually Gabe calms down and the group presses on until they encounter a block in the road.

After meeting Jesus, Gabe and the others enter a train tunnel only to find it overrun with walkers. Fleeing them, Gabe helps Clementine fend off the herd while Javier, Tripp and Conrad escape through an abandoned train car.

Once Javier has blocked the door, Gabe runs forward only to stop when he finds Conrad pointing his weapon at Clementine, insisting on making Clementine his prisoner due to him being one of the members of the New Frontier. Gabe resists only to be taken hostage by Conrad, forcing Javier to either accept his plan or kill the man to save Gabe. (Depends) Gabe yells at Javier if Conrad was saved, calls Javier a coward if Javier decides to kill him instead he will be shocked, (Depends) Anyway, they exit the subway, ??and the group discovers Kate has left the car Eleanor.

Upon reaching the Richmond settlement, Gabe stands as Javier asks Max to allow the group. When the leader of the New Frontier appears, Gabe is surprised to see that it is David.

Gabe appears either when he rescues Javier or when Kate rescued Javi from prison. Then they come up with a plan to rebel against Joan, he and Javi go to the armory to take weapons. Him or Ava (Depends) They will distract the guard so that Javier can get into the arsenal. When the weapons were taken, Javi and Gabriel hid in the back room and, unable to resist, the young man attacked the guard, but was defeated. While defending himself and his nephew, Javi was wounded with a knife in the arm.

After that, they go to the hospital together, and there he waits for Javier, who treats the wound. Then he sees Clementine, who left Lingard's office with Javier. When they returned to the shelter, they decided what to do next. Gabe wanted to go and take it, but Javi refuses the idea. And depending on the decisions in episode 2, he reveals to Javi that he killed Conrad (Depends). If Conrad is still alive, Trip reluctantly agrees to take him on the mission due to Conrad leaving them. He was on guard because Clementine asked him, because he wanted to go with her and leave Javier to guard.

When they stole the armored car, Gabe teaches Clementine to play cards in the armored car. Kate and Javi look at this and talk about his relationship with Clementine. Depending on the choice, Javi can either react well or badly to this. When Ava reported that they had decided to execute David, he, Javi and Clementine went to the square to see the execution. Gabe began to panic, but after Javi chose to spare Ava or Trip, the situation escalated. Regardless of the decisions made, either killing Joan or making an agreement with Clint, Gabe will run to save his father. If you killed Joan, then he will run to save David so that he does not suffocate in the noose, and if he made an agreement, he will rush to fight with Clint.

After the outcome of events, David decides to catch up and kill Joan/Clint, and Gabe wanted to run after him. Depending on Javier's decision, he can stay with his uncle, or run after David.

Gabriel appears in this episode as David, Kate, and Javier run to find cover, and we see Clementine teaching him how to hit walkers, just like Jane taught her in "Among the Ruins." And when they run into the building, they begin to condemn the murder of Joan/Clint (Depends). If you killed Joan, Gabriel will say that you killed him, and David will say that Javier did everything right, and it was necessary to do it for the sake of the New Frontier. If you made an agreement, David kills Clint, then Gabriel will be very upset that his father did not agree to an agreement, but killed him, and Javi may also support him if he and his brother disagree. Regardless, David offers to help him, Gabi refuses, and hides behind Javier. Regardless of the choice the player makes, he will either tell David to leave him alone, or Clementine will go with him.

The next scene shows Gabriel watching his father kill the infected Rufus. (depends), and breaks Fern's arm. When David wanted to kill her, Gabriel rushed to protect the woman, but David punched him in the face. While asking his son for forgiveness, Gabe becomes afraid of him, which upsets David.

After that, he and the others let Ava or Tripp in (depending on who survived in the episode “Thicker Than Water”), and they walk along the roof of the building to the crashed helicopter. Gabi told Javier that David told him that there is no need to be like yours uncle, he showed him what he can become. Javier can support him or object. When they reach the broken helicopter, he is the second after Clementine to fly along the propeller, before which David gives instructions on how to do it.

Next, he had to go through the walkers, and he finds a generator through which he needs to go through the herd in order to distract them. When Javier turned on the generator, they went to the garage, where they began to discuss further plans. Kate wants to save Richmond, and David wants to go home to where they were before with family. Gabe decides to go with David. And when again David and Javier sorted things out, he decided to stand up for his uncle, who received a crutch in the face with a key because he fell. After that He left with his father. But then he realized that he had made a mistake, he wanted to go back and get into an accident

Gabriel's fate is entirely up to the player. If no one goes, then he will be bitten on the hand by the infected father, then he will give the cards to Clementine, and depending on the ending of season 2, Clementine can either say the last words, or hug, or kiss. Then you can kill him or commit suicide yourself. If Javier or Clementine go alone, Gabe will remain alive, and David will die from a walker bite. If Clementine and Javier go, then both Gabe and David will remain alive, and depending on the elections, Kate or David may die/disappear.

If you choose to save him, he will be mourned by his family depending on who rides the motorcycle. And he will say that they saved him in vain, that Kate died because of him. If David remained alive and you asked him to stay in Richmond, then he will stop communicating with him because of all the grievances. In the end he is able to hug Clementine and he ends up staying in Richmond.

If Javier fails to complete a certain goal, it will possibly kill him. These deaths are non-story related and result in a game over. Javier will have to go through the same section of the game again. Below is a list of Gabe's possible deaths.

Gabriel Garcia

"One Hundred Years of Solitude"(Spanish) Cien anos de soledad) is a novel by the Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez, one of the most characteristic and popular works in the direction of magical realism. The first edition of the novel was published in Buenos Aires in June 1967 with a circulation of 8,000 (first 3,000 - then 5,000) copies. The novel was awarded the Romulo Gallegos Prize. To date, more than 30 million copies have been sold, the novel has been translated into 35 languages.

Cover of the first edition of the novel

One Hundred Years of Solitude was written by García Márquez over an 18-month period between 1965 and 1966 in Mexico City. Original idea This work appeared in 1952, when the author visited his home village of Aracataca in the company of his mother. His short story "The Day After Saturday", published in 1954, features Macondo for the first time. García Márquez planned to call his new novel “The House,” but eventually changed his mind to avoid analogies with the novel “The Big House,” published in 1954 by his friend Alvaro Zamudio.

The first, considered classic, translation of the novel into Russian belongs to Nina Butyrina and Valery Stolbov. The modern translation, which is now widespread in the book markets, was made by Margarita Bylinkina. In 2014, the translation by Butyrina and Stolbov was republished, this publication became the first legal version.

The book consists of 20 unnamed chapters, which describe a story looped in time: the events of Macondo and the Buendi family, for example, the names of the heroes, are repeated again and again, uniting fantasy and reality. The first three chapters describe the migration of a group of people and the founding of the village of Macondo. From chapters 4 to 16, the story is about economic, political and social development villages IN last chapters the novel shows its decline.

Almost all the sentences of the novel are constructed in indirect speech and are quite long. Direct speech and dialogue are almost never used. It is noteworthy that the sentence from Chapter 16, in which Fernanda del Carpio laments and feels sorry for herself, takes up two and a half pages in print.

From Garcia Marquez's interview with the magazine Esquire

Throughout the novel, all of its characters are destined to suffer from loneliness, which is an innate “vice” of the Buendi family. The village where the novel takes place, Macondo, also lonely and separated from the contemporary world, lives in anticipation of the visits of the gypsies, bringing with them new inventions, and in oblivion, in constant tragic events in the history of the culture described in the work.

Loneliness is most noticeable in Colonel Aureliano Buendi?a, as his inability to express his love forces him to go to war, leaving his sons from different mothers in different villages. In another episode, he asks to draw a three-meter circle around him, and that no one should approach him. Having signed a peace treaty, he shoots himself in the chest so as not to face his future, but due to his failure he does not achieve his goal and spends his old age in a workshop, making goldfish in honest agreement with loneliness.

Other characters in the novel also suffered the consequences of loneliness and abandonment:

One of the main reasons for their lonely life and detachment is the inability to love and prejudices, which were destroyed by the relationship of Aureliano Babylogna and Amaranta Ursula, whose ignorance of their relationship led to the tragic ending of the story in which the only son conceived in love was eaten by ants. This race was not capable of love, so they were doomed to loneliness. There was an exceptional case between Aureliano Segundo and Petra Cotes: they loved each other, but they did not and could not have children. The only way for a member of the Buendi family to have a love child is through a relationship with another member of the Buendi family, which is what happened between Aureliano Vivilogna and his aunt Amaranta Ursula. Moreover, this union was born in a love destined for death, a love that ended the Buendi family.

Finally, we can say that loneliness has manifested itself in all generations. Suicide, love, hatred, betrayal, freedom, suffering, craving for the forbidden are secondary themes that throughout the novel change our views on many things and make it clear that in this world we live and die alone.

In the work, fantastic events are presented through everyday life, through situations that are not anomalous for the characters. Also historical events in Colombia, for example, civil wars between political parties, the massacre of banana plantation workers (in 1928, the transnational banana corporation United Fruit, with the help of government troops, carried out a brutal massacre of hundreds of strikers who were waiting for the delegation to return from negotiations after mass protests), reflected in the myth of Macondo. Events such as the ascension of Remedios to heaven, the prophecies of Melquiades, the appearance of deceased characters, unusual objects brought by gypsies (magnet, magnifying glass, ice) ... burst into the context of real events reflected in the book and call on the reader to enter a world in which the most possible incredible events. This is precisely what lies in such a literary movement as magical realism, which characterizes the latest Latin American literature.

The relationship between relatives is depicted in the book through the myth of the birth of a child with a pig's tail. Despite this warning, relationships arise again and again between different family members and across different generations throughout the novel.

The story begins with the relationship between José Arcadio Buendía and his cousin Ursula, who grew up together in an old village and heard many times about their uncle having a pig's tail. Subsequently, José Arcadio (son of the founder) married Rebeca, an adopted daughter who was a distant relative of his. Arcadio was born from Pilar Ternera, and did not suspect why she did not respond to his feelings, since he did not know anything about his origin. Aureliano Jose fell in love with his aunt Amaranta, proposed marriage to her, but was refused. The relationship between José Arcadio (son of Aureliano Segundo) and Amaranta, also unsuccessful, can also be called close to love. In the end, a relationship develops between Amaranta Ursula and her nephew Aureliano Babylogna, who did not even suspect their relationship, since Fernanda, Amaranta Ursula's grandmother and Amaranta Ursula's mother, hid the secret of his birth.

This last and only sincere love in the history of the family, paradoxically, became the cause of the death of the Buendia family, which was predicted in the parchments of Melki?ades.

Almost all the events of the novel take place in the fictional town of Macondo, but are related to historical events in Colombia. The city was founded by José Arcadio Buendia, a strong-willed and impulsive leader deeply interested in the secrets of the universe, which were periodically revealed to him by visiting gypsies led by Melquíades. The city is gradually growing, and the government of the country shows interest in Macondo, but José Arcadio Buendia leaves the leadership of the city behind himself, luring the sent alcalde (mayor) to his side.

A civil war begins in the country, and the inhabitants of Macondo are soon drawn into it. Colonel Aureliano Buendia, the son of José Arcadio Buendia, gathers a group of volunteers and goes to fight against the conservative regime. While the colonel is involved in hostilities, Arcadio, his nephew, takes over the leadership of the city, but becomes a cruel dictator. After 8 months of his reign, conservatives capture the city and shoot Arcadio.

The war lasts for several decades, then dying down, then flaring up with new strength. Colonel Aureliano Buendia, tired of the pointless struggle, concludes a peace treaty. After the contract is signed, Aureliano returns home. At this time, a banana company arrives in Macondo along with thousands of migrants and foreigners. The city begins to prosper, and one of the representatives of the Buendia family, Aureliano Segundo, quickly becomes rich by raising cattle, which, thanks to Aureliano Segundo’s relationship with his mistress, magically multiplies quickly. Later, during one of the workers' strikes, National Army shoots the demonstration and, loading the bodies into wagons, throws them into the sea.

After the banana massacre, the city was hit by continuous rain for almost five years. At this time, the penultimate representative of the Buendia family is born - Aureliano Babilonia (originally called Aureliano Buendia, before he discovers in the Melquiades parchments that Babilonia is his father's surname). And when the rains stop, Úrsula, the wife of José Arcadio Buendía, the founder of the city and the family, dies at the age of more than 120 years. Macondo becomes an abandoned and deserted place where no livestock is born, and buildings are destroyed and overgrown.

Aureliano Bavilogna was soon left alone in the crumbling house of Buendia, where he studied the parchments of the gypsy Melquiades. He stops deciphering them for a while due to a whirlwind romance with his aunt Amaranta Ursula, who came home after studying in Belgium. When she dies in childbirth and their son (who is born with a pig's tail) is eaten by ants, Aureliano finally deciphers the parchments. The house and the city are caught in a tornado, as stated in centuries-old records that contained the entire history of the Buendia family, predicted by Melquiades. When Aureliano deciphers the ending of the predictions, the city and the house are completely erased from the face of the Earth.

The founder of the Buendia family is strong-willed, stubborn and unshakable. Founder of the city of Macondo. He had a deep interest in the structure of the world, sciences, technical innovations and alchemy. José Arcadio Buendía went crazy trying to find the philosopher's stone and eventually forgot his native Spanish and began to speak Latin. He was tied to a chestnut tree in the courtyard, where he met his old age in the company of the ghost of Prudencio Aguilar, whom he killed in his youth. Shortly before his death, his wife Ursula removes the ropes from him and frees her husband.

The wife of José Arcadio Buendía and the mother of the family, who raised most of the members of her family right up to her great-great-grandchildren. She ruled the family firmly and strictly, earned a large sum of money by making candy, and rebuilt the house. At the end of her life, Ursula gradually becomes blind and dies at about 120 years of age. But in addition to the fact that she raised everyone and earned money, including by baking bread, Ursula was perhaps the only member of the family who had a sound mind, business acumen, the ability to survive in any situation, rallying everyone, and boundless kindness. If it weren’t for her, who was the core of the whole family, it is unknown how and where the life of the family would have turned.

Third child of José Arcadio Buendía and Ursula. Amaranta grows up with her second cousin Rebeca, they simultaneously fall in love with the Italian Pietro Crespi, who reciprocates Rebeca's feelings, and from then on she becomes Amaranta's worst enemy. In moments of hatred, Amaranta even tries to poison her rival. After Rebeca marries José Arcadio, she loses all interest in the Italian. Later, Amaranta also rejects Colonel Gerineldo Marquez, ending up as an old maid. Her nephew, Aureliano Jose, and her great-nephew, Jose Arcadio, were in love with her and dreamed of having sex with her. But Amaranta dies a virgin in old age, exactly as death itself predicted for her - after she finished embroidering the funeral shroud.

Arcadio is the illegitimate son of José Arcadio and Pilar Ternera. He is a school teacher, but takes over the leadership of Macondo at the request of Colonel Aureliano when he leaves the city. Becomes a despotic dictator. Arcadio tries to eradicate the church, persecution of conservatives living in the city begins (in particular, Don Apolinar Moscote). When he tries to execute Apolinar for a sarcastic remark, Ursula, unable to bear it, whips him like a little child like a mother. Having received information that the conservative forces are returning, Arcadio decides to fight them with the small forces that are in the city. After the defeat and capture of the city by conservatives, he was shot.

Illegitimate son of Colonel Aureliano and Pilar Ternera. Unlike his half-brother Arcadio, he knew the secret of his origin and communicated with his mother. He was raised by his aunt, Amaranta, with whom he was in love, but could not achieve her. At one time he accompanied his father on his campaigns and took part in hostilities. Returning to Macondo, he was killed as a result of disobedience to the authorities.

Daughter of Arcadio and Santa Sofia de la Piedad. For her beauty she received the name Beautiful. Most family members considered her an extremely childish girl, only one Colonel Aureliano Buendia considered her the most reasonable of all family members. All the men who sought her attention died in various circumstances, which ultimately brought her notoriety. She was lifted into the sky by a light gust of wind while taking off the sheets in the garden.

Son of Arcadio and Santa Sofia de la Piedad, twin brother of José Arcadio Segundo. You can read about his childhood above. He grew up huge like his grandfather José Arcadio Buendia. Thanks to the passionate love between him and Petra Cotes, her cattle multiplied so rapidly that Aureliano Segundo became one of the richest people in Macondo and also the most cheerful and hospitable owner. “Be fruitful, cows, life is short!” - this was the motto on the funeral wreath brought by his many drinking companions to his grave. He married, however, not Petra Cotes, but Fernanda del Carpio, whom he had been looking for for a long time after the carnival based on a single sign - she is the most beautiful woman in the world. With her he had three children: Amaranta Ursula, José Arcadio and Renata Remedios, with whom he was especially close.

José Arcadio, son of Fernanda and Aureliano Segundo, named after his ancestors in accordance with family tradition, had the character of the previous Arcadios. He was raised by Ursula, who wanted him to become Pope, for which he was sent to Rome to study. However, José Arcadio soon left the seminary. Upon returning from Rome after the death of his mother, he found the treasure and began to squander it in lavish festivities, having fun with the children as well. Later, a certain rapprochement, although far from friendship, appeared between him and Aureliano Bavilogna, his illegitimate nephew, to whom he planned to leave the income from the gold he found, on which he could live after leaving for Naples. But this did not happen, since José Arcadio was drowned by the four children who lived with him, who, after the murder, carried away all three bags of gold, which only they and José Arcadio knew about.

Amaranta Ursula is the youngest daughter of Fernanda and Aureliano Segundo. She is very similar to Ursula (the wife of the founder of the clan), who died when Amaranta was very young. She never found out that the boy sent to Buendia’s house was her nephew, Meme’s son. She gave birth to a child from him (with a pig's tail), unlike the rest of her relatives - in love. She studied in Belgium, but returned from Europe to Macondo with her husband, Gaston, bringing with her a cage with fifty canaries so that the birds that had been killed after Ursula's death could once again live in Macondo. Gaston later returned to Brussels on business and, as if nothing had happened, accepted the news of the affair between his wife and Aureliano Bavilogna. Amaranta Ursula died during the birth of her only son, Aureliano, ending the Buendia family.

Aureliano is the son of Renata Remedios (Meme) and Mauricio Babylogna. He was sent to the Buendia house from the monastery where Meme gave birth to him, and was protected from the outside world by his grandmother, Fernanda, who, in an attempt to hide the secret of his origin from everyone, invented that she had found him on the river in a basket. She hid the boy in Colonel Aureliano's jewelry workshop for three years. When he accidentally ran out of his “cell,” no one in the house except Fernanda herself suspected his existence. In character he is very similar to the colonel, a real Aureliano. He was the most well-read in the Buendia family, he knew a lot, and could carry on a conversation on many topics.

He easily begins to decipher the parchments, when suddenly a destructive hurricane begins in Macondo, erasing the city from the memory of people, as predicted by Melquiades, “for the branches of a family sentenced to a hundred years of solitude are not allowed to repeat themselves on earth.”

Son of Aureliano Babylogna and his aunt, Amaranta Ursula. At his birth, Ursula's old prediction came true - the child was born with a pig's tail, marking the end of the Buendia family. Although his mother wanted to name the child Rodrigo, his father decided to give him the name Aureliano, following family tradition. This is the only family member born in love in a whole century. But, since the family was doomed to a hundred years of loneliness, he could not survive. Aureliano was eaten by ants that filled the house due to the flood, exactly as it was written in the epigraph to the parchments of Melquiades: “The first in the family will be tied to a tree, the last in the family will be eaten by ants.”

One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the most widely read and translated works in the Spanish language. Honored as the second most important work in Spanish after Cervantes' Don Quixote at the IV International Congress of the Spanish Language, held in Cartagena, Colombia in March 2007.

How often do I hear discussions about how important and necessary it is to be “ gray man«…

Usually people in such conversations nod and begin to examine each other for non-gray objects. But let me tell you something very important right away:

I, Gabriel Suarez, am never a “gray man” and do not strive to live a “gray life” ( I can already clearly hear the corresponding sighs and imagine how some readers convulsively grabbed their hearts).

I believe that the concept of "gray" is relative. Regarding the situation, location, tasks. But it loses globally in relation to the quality of life. And it's worth remembering - the purpose of life is to live well and have plenty of pleasant memories by the time we go to last path- aged 95 years.

The challenge in life is not to cower and hide in the shadows, in fear of facing an aggressor or becoming a victim of crime, because you are not gray enough and do not blend in with your surroundings. Unpleasant encounters like these are the reason we carry guns. Agree - lions live longer interesting life than chameleons.

Setting, location and objectives

When I traveled to third world countries, I dressed and acted like a local. I was always armed, but I minded my own business, remained focused on the task at hand, and did not draw attention to myself. I did the same thing when I worked in surveillance for the police. Inconspicuousness was the motto because the goal was “not to be noticed.”

When you are doing something that attracts the attention of strangers, and it doesn’t matter - ordinary citizens or criminals, gray man methods are recommended. Thus, a diamond dealer and a drug dealer will lead somewhat similar lives.

But if this environment, location and tasks are not relevant to you, then why on earth would you want to live like that? This is not freedom, and there is no joy in such a life.

The other extreme is not to worry about anyone or anything - “after all, there are no bad people in the world.” This look is also stupid.

So, my message about dullness does not mean that you should be careless about your messages in social networks, or indicate your real address on your driver’s license, and similarly sneeze at the safety of your family. But living as if you were a CIA operative in an Arab enclave is also not an option.

I love to wear good clothes, visit interesting places on weekends, drive a car and wear an expensive watch. Because I can afford it and I like it. However, despite this, I am sure that outwardly I do not look like an easy prey, and, perhaps, several times it was for this reason that the attack on me did not take place. But if there was a need to be gray man If I was strong, but if I didn't do something that dictated this need, such as hunting bad people, then I would just think about moving to a quieter place where I wouldn't have to worry about such things.

Enjoy life and be any color you want. Just do it wisely.

P.S. This topic will probably develop into several articles, but ultimately, if we take alertness and vigilance into account ( situational awareness - editor's note.), the desire for a gray approach is based on fear. I chose for myself not to live in fear, but to live in strength and power. When an enemy looks at you like a predator, it is better for him to see another predator, and not prey, or even more so prey camouflaged against the background of bushes with one desire - not to be noticed.

Lions don't eat lions. They walk around them in a wide circle and go looking for a gray gazelle.

Gabriel's POV We stood in the forest, not far from the base, and waited for Clementine. We knew that she could only be there, with those vile bandits. I can’t believe she didn’t get out... We were all silent and waited for Clementine... Well, except for Lisa. Lisa constantly repeated the same word - “Let's go.” We had been standing in one place for more than an hour, and there was not a single sign that Clementine was coming towards us. I told Javi to go to the base and see if Clementine was around. But to no avail... I sat and looked out the window with a sad face. And absolutely suddenly I saw a man running along the road... I ran out of the car and shouted loudly: - Clem! Instead of answering, the man took out a walkie-talkie from his jacket. - They are here in the forest. - Javi, let's go! - I exclaimed, and our car moved off. We had been driving along the road for some time. Javier said that we are going to the very village where Clementine was recently. Why did everything happen like this? Why didn't she come back? What happened?.. I sat on the chair and was sad. Lisa sat down next to me. With whom - with whom, and now the last thing I wanted to talk to was her... - Why are you so sad? - she asked, looking me straight in the eyes. - You know very well why I’m “so sad”! - I exclaimed angrily. - We all lose our loved ones. But I’m not crying, well... - she hesitated. “Maybe a little,” she added much more quietly. I just sighed and asked: “Why didn’t you love her so much?” “I didn’t trust her,” she said, thinking a little. I didn’t want to talk to her anymore... - Come on, forget about her. “You have me,” she said, not at all embarrassed. This pissed me off so much that I kicked her. - What are you doing?! - she exclaimed, shaking herself off. I just remained silent and closed my eyes. Clementine's POV How did I give up so quickly?.. From the corridor you could hear loud footsteps of people. I wasn't the least bit afraid of them. -Have you looked here? - asked the man behind the door. I took the gun out of my pocket and aimed at the door. The door opened slightly and I fired exactly four shots at them. They all fell dead. Without thinking twice, I took away all their weapons and one bulletproof vest. It seemed like I should have been thinking about how I could get out of here alive, but instead I was thinking about that kiss... I walked out the door. Shot - another corpse. I walked further and further along the corridor and was almost out of this building. But on the road I met about five people looking in my direction. - Well, stop! - one shouted. - This is one of them! - shouted the second one. And they all ran towards me. It didn't take me long to choose where to run. As luck would have it, I ran exactly to where the door was closed. “God why did I turn here?!” - I asked myself, trying to open the lock. I heard footsteps: someone was coming down the stairs towards me. Out of fear, I started hitting this lock with my pistol with all my might, and I succeeded! I went inside. It was dark inside. I had to turn on my lighter to look around a little. The lighter lit the room very faintly, but enough for me to see the chair. It was just what I needed to prop up the door. I walked around this room looking for the opposite wall, and after a minute it dawned on me that this was not a room at all, but another long corridor. I continued walking along it. It was scary, even very scary, especially because of the impenetrable darkness. Every five meters I hit some table or chair... But, nevertheless, sooner or later I reached the end. At the end of this corridor there was a glass door through which I could see the street. As much as I wanted to open it, I just couldn't. The “break the lock with the butt of a pistol” trick no longer worked with this door. I sat down near one of the tables and fell asleep to quickly forget this day, like one big bad dream.

Although this night passed safely, I am still here, in the enemy’s lair, and this is not a dream. I need to move forward, and in front of me there is only this glass door! I took my pistol and hit it a couple of times, but not at the lock, but at the glass. It crashed and, of course, made a loud noise. I hurriedly went outside and saw a man approaching me. -Are you new? - he asked me quite friendly and even somehow affectionately. This surprised me very much. “Uh... Yes, I’m new...” I said dumbfounded. - Let's go, it's breakfast. If you don’t have time, they will eat him for you,” he said in the same tone. “Hoo-ro-shoo, let’s go,” I said, completely not understanding what was happening, and followed him. I understood that I was making a very questionable decision, but there was no other way. Soon we reached the food distribution point. The line was small, but what surprised me most was that there were very young children and women there. Now it's my turn. I was confused, because I already knew that they were asking for a card. “A card,” the woman confirmed my fears. “I don’t have it,” I said as carefully as possible, afraid to raise doubts. - Tell me your first and last name. “I’m seeing you here for the first time,” the woman said and raised one eyebrow. “Cle... Clementine...” I said, hesitatingly. - Last name?.. I thought for a little bit about what last name I should take, and decided to use the last name of Javi and Gabe. - Garcia, Clementina Garcia. - I said. - Tell me honestly, you didn’t register? - the girl asked me, switching to a whisper. I was very confused and didn’t know what to answer. “She didn’t register,” the man confirmed in the same whisper. - Okay, here's a card for you. Just be careful, don’t tell anyone that we gave it to you. Understood? “I got it,” I was very scared at that moment, because I knew that someday the truth about who I am would be revealed. True, I killed everyone who could know the truth... These people showed me my room. They placed me in their house. They lived together and had their own family: daughter Lola and eldest son Mark. And their names were Antonio and Rebecca. They were nice people. At that moment I was in shock. I live with the enemy! People who just recently beat up my friends! God, what am I doing?! My first decision was to escape from here at night, while no one was looking. “Clem?..” Rebbeka came into my room. - You want to leave, right? - I trust you. You, one might say, saved me... Yes, I need to return to my friends,” I said and looked straight into Rebbeka’s eyes. - We will help you. We know it's just a terrible place. Only murderers and bandits live here,” she said sadly. - We'll go with you.
