Recently, many buyers have encountered a problem, which is that Aliexpress won't let you open a dispute even if the buyer protection period is coming to an end.

The innovation was made quite recently, but has already caused great indignation among buyers. The fact is that each extension of the buyer protection period must be agreed upon by both parties.

However, some sellers ignore this rule and independently extend the protection time. If previously the buyer could express his disagreement by opening a dispute, now this is impossible to do.

Aliexpress does not allow you to open a dispute

When the buyer tries to open a dispute for the reason “The protection period is already ending, but the parcel is still on the way,” he receives a notification:

According to our data, the seller sent your package and it left the sender's country. Parcel tracking information will be provided by the shipping company in your area. Most parcels are delivered within the timeframe specified by the seller. If you do not receive your parcel by [date], open a dispute and we will help you find a solution.

According to the message, the buyer will be able to open a dispute according to the standard procedure only when the specified date arrives.

Solving the problem

To bypass the ban on opening a dispute, you can do the following:

  1. Open the order dispute page.
  2. Disable the Internet so that the device cannot receive and transmit data to the network.
  3. Fill in all available fields.
  4. Turn on the Internet and click on the “Submit” button.

All that remains is to wait for the administration of the online store to pay attention to the current situation and make adjustments that will suit both sellers and buyers.

Situations related to the delivery of goods from Aliexpress are different. Sometimes a problem may arise when, while tracking the track number, you notice that your package has been sent to a different address.

Let's look at the reasons why a seller might send an item to a different address:

  • he could simply make a mistake and give you someone else’s track number - write to him, most likely he will give you the correct track number;
  • Quite often, a new parcel may be assigned an old track number. And when you start tracking it, you notice that it has been on the road for quite a long time or has already been received in another city or even country. Don't worry, if you just received the tracking code and see similar information, wait up to 10 days. During this period, you will see that your parcel has begun to “move” across China and will soon be sent to you;
  • the seller could have made a mistake by sending your order to another buyer or is trying to deceive you by knowingly sending the parcel to the wrong address to his person, with the address details of this recipient (yes, this sometimes happens).

What should I do if the parcel is sent to another address?

  1. Always keep an eye on the deadline. Thanks to it, you can open a dispute and get your money back.
  2. You can contact the seller and clarify the information, but most likely he will send a message saying that everything is fine and there is no need to worry. In principle, most often, this is the case; after some time, you will receive your parcel.
  3. If, while tracking your parcel, you see that the parcel is not heading to you at all, then do not waste time, but open a dispute for the reason - the seller sent the order to the wrong address.

My sister had a problem, she discovered that the order had arrived in our country, but the destination city was completely different. Therefore, she turned to me with a request to help deal with this situation.

An inexpensive mp3 player was ordered. The seller sent the goods and gave the tracking number. I want to say that delivery should have been by SF Express and Nova Poshta services (in Ukraine). After Chinese parcels arrive in Ukraine, Nova Poshta assigns its own track number to the parcel.

Having found the assigned tracking number and checked it in the system, information was received that the destination of the parcel was the city of Horishni Plavni (instead of Kirovograd), there was also information that this invoice was assigned to a different phone number.

A call to the Nova Poshta hotline did not yield anything, since they said that the recipient’s last name, first name, telephone number and address were completely different and they had no errors. And we should contact the seller.

Having written a message to the seller asking to give us the correct track number, we received an answer - that everything is correct and there is no need to worry, we will receive the parcel soon.

But the tracking data said that it was just worth worrying.

Well, if so, then we open a dispute:

  • select – refund only;
  • reason - the seller sent to the wrong address;
  • indicate the refund amount;
  • in the description we write that the seller either made a mistake with the address, or deliberately sent the parcel to someone else’s address, since the real delivery city is Horishni Plavni.

If your courier service allows you to display complete information in English, then there is no problem. The Nova Poshta website, unfortunately, was only able to translate half of the necessary information - I had to make callouts with explanations.

Having downloaded the information, we began to wait for a response from the Aliexpress team. Fortunately, after studying the information, a decision was made to satisfy our request and return the money.

This way we were able to get a refund for an order that was not received.

By the way! The parcel has not yet been received by the addressee unknown to us. Therefore, we conclude: that the seller most likely made a mistake - indicating the details of another recipient who does not even know about it.
